"Everything you desire is possible, but everything you dread is also possible," the locket said and Regulus looked transfixed.

"Beaten and bruised and yet everyone assumes you're the bad one. Mommy and Daddy put alllll their money on Sirius, they only took to you when he proved to be a lost cause. Even now they pray that their golden child will return to them so they can cast you aside. If you were truly good hearted Regulus Black, you wouldn't care what bigots like them think of you, but you do."

"Don't listen Reg, fuck!" The locket had began to burn me and I dropped it in the hard dirt. Out of the locket came....me, but not me at all. I was much prettier, but there was something altogether wrong about me. I looked evil. Next came Sirius, and he too looked better than real life, but with a horrible glimmer in his eye that Sirius would never have.

"Pathetic little sniveling brother, it is no wonder why everyone prefers me. Even your own girlfriend crushed on me before you," said the evil Sirius.

"Who could look at you with Sirius around?" I cooed and wrapped myself around him like a snake. Suddenly the two of our images were naked.

"Kill it Reg! It's not me, it's not him!"

Regulus was unmoving, mesmerized by the figures before him. He looked angry and sad at the same time. He was holding the blade limply at his side. I knew grabbing the locket would be stupid, but what if I tried to get the dagger from Regulus? Would he attack me in confusion?

"Do you know how happy I was when I finally got to spend time with your brother because you were being an asshole," the fake me crooned. "Don't you find it odd that I was obsessed with the marauders and now I'm dating you? Face it Regulus, you'll always be second place."

"She's lying!" I screamed.

"If Kreacher hadn't been waiting for you I'd never have jumped in that lake, no one would, you should be dead! I liked you with the locket better, the real you is so desperate and weak and stupid. At least you knew what you wanted with that thing. This is why I stopped you from beating up the marauders, they are my true home."

"Haha, little brother, friendless, weak, trying to make a difference but all he could do was get pulled into a lake of dead people. Without your slut, who is actually mine, you'd be one of them, one of the Inferi, your pointless existence would have been winked out, and no one would care."

Then the forms began to make out. Their bodies undulated against each other and wet noises resounded.

"Ew gross," I said. Those were the words that woke up Regulus Black.

"Someone would care!" He screamed and plunged the dagger into the locket. The locket let out a shriek, and the images winked out of existence. The air became so much lighter. Weight lifted from my shoulders. This was different than going to Borgin and Burkes, this was true airy delight. I made eye contact with Regulus.

We crashed into one another and he was kissing me feverishly. My hands were in his lovely curls. He was pressing himself against me adoringly.

"It's not true, none of it is true, you're my only choice, I love you," I promised him through kisses.

"You're the best thing that ever happened to me. I'm so sorry for how I acted. I was a right ass, let me love you," he begged.

"Oh angel, I know, I didn't enjoy the marauders more than you, you're all I ever think of," I said. He waved his wand and a blanket appeared, and next our robes were gone.

"I'm so glad you aren't a Inferi, I'm so happy you're here with me. If you would have died, I'd miss you, I'd miss you every second of my life, I would never get over it," I told him as I ran my hands up his lovely torso.

"Also, you're not weak, and I love you the way you are. I did not like the Horcrux you better, you are all I want just the way you are," I told him, and I saw his eyes well with tears.

"You mean that?" He asked.

"I mean it with all my heart," I said.

"Can I make love to you?" He gulped.

"Of course, please," I said, and pulled him down. I locked my legs around him as he entered me.

"Oh, fuck, you feel so good, the feeling was dampened with that thing, you feel so damn good," he cried.

"Regulus," I panted. "You're everything. I'm so proud of you, I'm so fucking proud of all you've accomplished. You've done so much for the wizarding world."

He began to pump inside me. Our foreheads pressed together as we breathed in one another's air. His fingers grazed over my nipples. I curled my hands in his hair as we kissed. I was alight with sparks.

"I love you, you are my light," He told me.

"Regulus Black, you are so superior to everyone, I wouldn't want anyone else if every man in the world lined up and all made a try for my heart."

"I can't even express how much I love you," he said, shaking his head, tears blooming again.

"Then marry me," I said.

"What?" He asked in shock. He didn't know that I'd been tutoring for money again. He didn't know that I'd asked Andromeda and Ted if they regretted how they'd done it, and they both said no. He didn't know with her help I'd designed rings and had them made for us. He didn't know I'd promised myself I'd do this once the locket was destroyed.

"Marry me," I said and summoned the ring from my robe. I showed it to my shocked boy. He had completely stilled. He was so beautiful in the moonlight, his curls bouncy, his skin shining, his pink lips open in surprise.

"I made it just for you," I whispered, now a little worried he'd say no.

"While I was being a dick, you were working towards saving money and creating a ring to propose to me? Are you actually from heaven?"

"I just knew if we beat this, we could beat anything, I wanted to do this. Merlin knows there's probably a war coming, and I want you by my side forever."

"Yes, yes of course I'll marry you. Yes!" he said giddily and his hips began to move faster with enthusiasm.

"You're going to be my wife, I have a fiancée, I never ever thought I would, oh I love you," he cried, and kissed me hungrily. We kissed until we both reached climax. It was the most earth shattering, mind blowing orgasm we'd ever experienced, so intense we couldn't move right away.

"Let's just stay like this, joined under the stars," he breathed.

"I wish Reg, I wish."
