Shots (Thomas)

                                    

                                          
Just the thought of seeing your daughter in pain makes Thomas cringe. He is so protective of his little girl, but he knows that she needs to get her shots. You decide to drive so that he can sit in the back playing with Cassie's barbies making her giggle as he makes them sing and dance around. When you arrive, Thomas packs up the barbies and places Cassie on his hip before walking in behind you and sitting down in the waiting room. The nurse calls Cassie's name and Thomas picks her up carrying her to the room. She clings onto her dad as you walk into the room and she sees the tongue depressors, swabs, etc. The nurse tries to calm her down, "Hey Cassie, how about you sit on your daddy's lap the whole time? He won't let anything hurt you." "Yeah princess I won't let anyone hurt you. You just have to get some shots so that you won't get sick." She just cries into his shoulder so he gives you the puppy dog eyes. You smirk knowing what he wants you to say, "Cass, if you let the nice nurse give you the shots, we'll go get ice cream and watch Frozen when we get home." She sighs and nods as the nurse gets her situated on Thomas's lap. You hold her hand as Thomas holds her close and kisses her head. She wimpers at first but Thomas starts softly singing Nothing Lasts Forever in her ear instantly calming her down. The nurse finishes the shots and gives Cassie a sticker and lollipop. "Thank you." She smiles up at her as Thomas sets her on the ground and you walk back out to the car. "Good job sweetheart. You're a big girl now." She smiles as you buckle her in and you start the drive to Braum's. Her favorite just like her father. :) You grab some ice cream and then you go home and all 3 of you cuddle up on the couch to watch Frozen together.
