Not now. I clicked hesitantly. Relationships to me, aren't suppose to be a temporary thing. It's either all in or all out.

The following day, I went to school as usual to find everyone crowded around one typical notice board. Don't tell me it's another indecent picture of Taylor again.

I stood at the back of the crowd, leaning against the row of lockers. What was so interesting that they had to squeeze in front, be hot and sweaty for. Cameron walked pass me, throwing me a puzzled look.

Suddenly some random girl that I've seen but never knew screeched Cameron's name from the top of their lungs.

"Omg, Cameron!!! You got the role!" She placed both her arms on Cameron's shoulder, merrily jumping up and down.

"Get what?" Cameron smiled nervously.

"The lead role obviously. You know, for the play."

Oh... That lead role. Now it made sense.

Girls slowly crowded around Cameron and that was my cue to leave before I barf all over their fan girling.

"Hey. Cam's sister. Where's Cam?" Brooklyn said roughly.

"I have a name."

"What about it?" He stuffed both his hand down his pocket.

"Just say her freaking name dude." Suddenly I heard Kevin's voice appear from the back.

Brooklyn's face formed a tight frown. Rolling his eyes at me. "I'll find Cam myself. That idiot. I should put a bell on him." He stomped down the hallway.

Well that was unproductive. Apparently my name is a disgrace to all mankind that saying it kills millions and a puppy dies every time my name is mentioned.

"Sorry for that." Kevin stood there apologizing for something that he didn't do.

"It's fine." Keeping my distance from him.

"So... Where is Cam?"

I smiled. At least he was talking to me. I thought he would give me the silent treatment and the cold shoulder. But on the other hand, I am still mad at him, for possibly cheating on me through facebook.

"Find a crowd of girls. He'll be there."

"Thanks. Is the results for the play already out?" He asked.

"Yeah. Obviously."

"Lead role my guess would be Cam. How about lead female role?"

"Didn't see. Basically I don't care." My eyes drooped. This wasn't the conversation I was hoping for. In my head this conversation would have started with him apologizing and ending with a box of chocolates. Gone was that dream.

"Sky, do you remember what you asked me the other day?"

I wrecked my brain. I didn't have a slightest idea which question he was referring to.

"Narrow it down for me." I pushed for some clues.

"The one where you asked about whether I was mad at you."

"What about that?" I shrugged my shoulders.

"Are you mad at me?" He pointed to me. Tilting his head, trying to read my expressions.

Honestly I was. But I acted dumb, shakily laughing. "For what?"

I wanted him to fess up to the things he did wrong. If he can't even tell me why he thinks I'm mad at him. This isn't much different than writing a blank check. No point me telling him what to do or not to do. Its for him to tell himself what to do or not to do.

"For... I don't know. For being a jerk the other day. For not offering you a ride home I guess..." He ran his fingers frustratedly through his hair.

"Oh really" that was sarcasm speaking.

"I'm serious Sky. I'm sorry. It's just that I was in a bad mood the other day. And..."

"And?" I cocked an eyebrow. Feeling triumphant.

"For being a D-bag."

Victory felt so sweet.

My lips curved up ever so slightly. Guys don't normally apologize to girls cause it hurts their ego or something. It made me feel on top of the world that he did.

"Anyways, to show you my sincere apologies, I'm cordially inviting you to Brook's house warming party tonight. And..."

"And?" I was really curious now. Secretly I wished that he was going to pull out a box of chocolates from his bag.

"And to be my date for the party." Wow. That wasn't expected.

I blanked out. Trying to collect all my scattered thoughts. It felt so right yet so wrong. Making up isn't suppose to be this easy.

"Well... What's in it for me?" I wanted to make him beg for it.

"Oh come on Sky. I'll even buy you your party dress cause I know you dislike shopping."

The sentence. "Cause I know you..." Made me melt inside. It's like he actually knows me and understands me. But the more he understands me, the more painful the heartache will be if he actually dumps me.

"And?" I still wanted a better bargain.

"What do you want from me woman?" He chuckled. He opened his arms wide "A lifetime of free hugs?"

I finally had the courage to break the ice wall between us. I went into his warm embrace. "Deal."
