Epilogue

Chester followed a trail of red rose petals towards the abandoned beach. He was blushing furiously but was anxious to reach the end of the trail. He was surprised to see nobody occupied the part of the Hawaiian beach he encountered first.

He followed the trail to the very center of the beach as the sun was beginning to go down. The beautiful orange glow from the sun sparkled against the water. He paused when he saw Mike standing in a large heart made out of the petals. Chester could feel his face heating up even more.

He stepped inside the heart, across from Mike who was smiling sheepishly. Chester couldn't help but wonder what in the world his boyfriend was doing but his heart picked up pace when Mike pulled out a small box from his back pocket.

Mike knelt down on one knee and opened the tiny box, revealing a studded ring. His dark eyes met Chester's and seemed pleading.

"Chazzy... You've been to hell and back. Up and down. Through thick and thin. You've been so strong and yet so weak. I've been weak and yet so strong when I'm with you. I don't know what type of life I'd have right now if I wasn't with you. I don't know where I'd be or what I'd be doing and I don't care. I could care less because I'd rather be here with you.

You've been the light in my night, the sun to my sky, the beauty in my sunrise and sunset. You've been my inspiration, my muse, my hope, and I want you to become my entire life.

Chester, will you marry me?" Mike concluded gently and Chester buried his face into his hands, tearing up. He heard a click and snapped his head over to see Brad, Rob, Joe, and Phoenix behind a camera. He couldn't help but laugh but then he bursted into tears and hugged Mike tightly.

"What kind of question is that, Mikey?! Of course I will!" He cried into the crease between Mike's neck. Mike pulled Chester away and kissed Chester forcefully, pulling him backwards slightly. Another click from the camera. Chester's legs couldn't put up any more resistance and he fell backwards, Mike landing on top of him.

"I love you." Mike muttered before kissing Chester again.

Chester and Mike had gone back home after the hospital to find the guys replaced all their stuff with even better furniture. The guys felt horrible about not helping Chester, although they had no reason to feel horrible, and decided it'd be nice to get them new stuff while cleaning up Jason's damage.

Scott received over twenty years of prison for all their crimes and Jason received a full life time for his. Chester hadn't had nightmares about the past after he fully understood Jason could never hurt him again and would die behind bars.

Chester's drug withdrawals barely lasted long at all and he didn't even feel the need to rely on alcohol for his issues. Instead, he took therapy and was given antidepressants to help appease him.

Mike couldn't help but be overjoyed that Chester's life seemed to be heavily looking up. He ended up telling Chester about Fort Minor but when Chester told him he should work with them again, Mike replied with he'd rather be there with Chester. That's when he decided he was going to propose.

Mike talked it through with the guys and they helped him set up the whole thing. He left a note for Chester telling him to follow the petals and waited. He believed it was absolutely perfect.

"Later should we bring Dra and Tye over to Talinda and Anna's so they can play with Lily and Lila?" Chester asked as he packed up Draven and Tyler's lunches for school. Mike and Chester had adopted their two boys who were actually full blood brothers who lost both of their parents at a very young age, they couldn't even remember them.
