The next morning, Donghyuck woke up at 6:30 AM, feeling goosebumps. As he lazily opened his eyes, he realized why he was slightly shivering.

There was no quilt.

He sat up groggily. Normally, he'd wake up past 11 AM, so when he checked the time, it felt absurdly early.

To his right, Minhyung was cocooned in the quilt, sound asleep.

He took the quilt all for himself, leaving Donghyuck to suffer through the cold all night!

What a great start to the day.

All those romantic dramas and movies showing couples waking up cuddled together were clearly fraudulent lies.

He shook off his thoughts. No, he absolutely did not want to cuddle with Minhyung.

With a mischievous smirk, Donghyuck grabbed the remote for the air conditioner and increased the humidity.

“Sleep well, hubby,” he whispered with a grin, satisfied with his plan. He then grabbed his clothes and went into the bathroom for a shower.

Since he was up so early, he figured he might as well make breakfast for the Lees.

---

Minhyung groaned uncomfortably, kicking the quilt to the floor. His shirt stuck to his damp skin, and his bangs were plastered to his forehead.

“Why is it so hot?!” he muttered, frowning as he looked around. His eyes landed on the air conditioner remote, where a sticky note had been carefully placed on top.

Good morning, hubby.
After your shower, come down for breakfast.
Don’t be late, or you’ll miss out on it while it’s hot! ^~^
–Your beautiful wifey

Minhyung scowled, crumpling the note and tossing it aside.

---

Everyone was gathered at the dining table except Minhyung.

So Donghyuck volunteered to call him for breakfast, earning nods from Mr. Lee and Doyoung.

When he reached their room, it was empty. Frowning, Donghyuck walked towards the bathroom, but it was quiet and slightly ajar.

Facing the door, he pondered:

Did he already go downstairs?
No, we would have run into each other.
Did he… disappear into thin air?

Shaking his head, Donghyuck lightly knocked on his own forehead for thinking something so dumb.

Just as he turned to leave, he heard movement behind him.

When he spun around, their eyes locked. Neither of them moved.

Water dripped from Minhyung’s hair, trailing down to his collarbone and along his toned six-pack.

Donghyuck froze.

Minhyung was wearing only a towel.

Subconsciously, Donghyuck gulped.

Finally coming back to his senses, Donghyuck quickly looked up, avoiding Minhyung's smirking face.

“Why aren’t you dressed?! And why didn’t you shut the bathroom door?!” he stammered, cursing himself internally for stuttering.

Minhyung didn’t reply, stepping forward instead. Donghyuck instinctively backed away until he stumbled and sat on the edge of the bed.

Bending down so their faces were inches apart, Minhyung smirked.

“Why? Don’t you like it, wifey?”

Donghyuck’s face turned red as he felt Minhyung’s warm breath on his cheeks.

“Minhyung, Donghyuck, why are you—”

Doyoung froze in the doorway, taking in the scene: Donghyuck sitting on the bed, Minhyung leaning over him, the quilt on the floor, and the bed looking completely disheveled.

A teasing grin spread across Doyoung’s face.

“Oh, I see you’re busy. Take your time! I just came to call you for breakfast,” Doyoung said before leaving with a chuckle.

Once Doyoung was gone, Donghyuck shoved Minhyung away with all his strength.

“ Doyoung-hyung misunderstood! How are you going to explain this now?!”

Minhyung chuckled and stepped closer, leaning down to whisper in Donghyuck’s ear.

“What’s there to explain? We’re legally married, aren’t we?”

Flustered, Donghyuck glared at him but said nothing. He pressed his lips together, silently fuming.

Does he not have a girlfriend?

---

At the dining table, Doyoung had a teasing smile on his face. Donghyuck avoided eye contact, while Minhyung and Mr. Lee ate as if nothing unusual had happened.

Clearing his throat, Donghyuck hesitated before speaking. “Um, Apa, I was thinking of continuing my work.”

In the whirlwind of the wedding preparations, Donghyuck had almost forgotten his career. Back in Thailand, he had worked as a teacher in one of the top schools, and the institution had a branch in Korea.

Mr. Lee smiled warmly. “That’s a wonderful idea. Staying at home would get boring. Work hard, fighting!”

Feeling encouraged, Donghyuck smiled back and nodded.

“What subject do you teach?” Doyoung asked curiously.

“English literature,” Donghyuck replied. “I was transferred from my school in Thailand to their Korean branch.”

---

After breakfast, Mr. Lee and Minhyung left for their company, while Doyoung headed to his art studio.

Mr. Lee suggested Minhyung drop Donghyuck off at work, but since their start times were two hours apart, Donghyuck politely declined.

At the school, Donghyuck was greeted by a cheerful teacher, Ningning. She showed him around, introduced him to other colleagues, and even shared a few workplace gossips.

The two became fast friends, and Donghyuck felt relieved knowing his work life wouldn’t be dull.

---

Feeling peckish, Donghyuck decided to call Renjun for lunch.

“Hey, Junnie. Free for lunch?”

“Ah, sorry, Hyuck. I’m actually in a café right now. I bumped into an old friend,” Renjun said.

Though Donghyuck felt a bit disappointed, he brushed it off and went out alone.

Fate, however, had other plans. As soon as he stepped outside, he bumped into Jeno, whose office was nearby.

They decided to grab lunch together at an Italian restaurant.

During lunch, Donghyuck sneezed lightly.

“Are you okay? Sick?” Jeno asked with concern.

“No, I’m just allergic to pollen,” Donghyuck replied, glancing at the vase on their table.

Jeno immediately called a waiter to remove the flowers.

Donghyuck smiled, feeling grateful.

---

After a long day, Donghyuck returned home earlier than the others and helped prepare dinner.

Later, as they lay in bed, Minhyung smirked. “Don’t hog the quilt tonight.”

Donghyuck rolled his eyes but didn’t argue.

Two more days until the honeymoon.

He sighed and drifted off to sleep.
