I woke up later that night in my own bed, Enid next to me asleep in my desk chair, her head resting on the side of me bed. "Enid, Enid wake up." I shake the girl, ignoring the pain in my back.

"You're awake! How are you feeling. Are you okay? You were like really bloody last night. What happened?" Enid rambles, question after question making my head spin. "Where's Wednesday?" I ask, looking around the empty room.

"She's talking to Sheriff Galpin, won't tell me why though." She explains as I sit up. "Where?" I ask as I stand up. "Principle Weems office, Wednesday told me to keep you here though. Make you rest."

"Rowan was killed last night." I tell her, stunning the poor girl long enough to allow me to leave our room.

I rush to Weem's office, opening the door to her telling Wednesday and Galpin "I've contacted his family but thy haven't heard from him either."

"Dead people aren't really good at returning calls." I tells the three making my presence known. "Other Ms Addams, perfect." Sheriff says, sitting down in one of Weem's chairs. "What were you two doing in the woods?"

"I heard a noise and went to investigate." Wednesday tells him. "I went with her." I add, stepping towards the three. "Why?'

"Because sheriff I wasn't going to let my cousin run around the woods alone." I inform him, stopping beside Wednesday. "That's when we stumbled upon the attack." Wednesday tells him, holding her hands together in front of her.

"Then what happened?"

"The monster ran away, I put my hands on Rowan's chest but- it was to late." I tell him a bubbling raising in my chest. "I tried Principle Weems." I say to the tall women, turning to her. "I really did but- he was already gone."

"I don't remember what happened after that." I say looking to Wednesday to fill in the blanks. "I picked you up and dragged you out of the forest." She tells me, taking a hold of my elbow. "Then I ran into Bianca Barclay and told her to go for help."

"Next thing I remember was awaking in our dorm." She says, turning back to Sheriff Galpin. "Just to be clear, this monster wasn't a bear or some other wild animal?" He asks and I shake my head as Wednesday answer. "I've hibernated with grizzlies. I know the difference."

"Thank you, Sheriff." Principle Weems says, standing up from her chair. "I think the girls are done now.-"

"Actually I would like to speak to Sheriff Galpin. Alone." Wednesday tells our headmaster, grabbing onto my wrist before I can make any attempt to leave. "We would like to speak to Sheriff Galpin alone." I repeat, standing next to Wednesday.

"I'm not sure I can allow that." Weems tells us, her stare hardening on us. "I'm sure I can take them down to the station and get a formal statement." Sheriff argues, starting a face off between him and Weems.

When the tall woman makes no attempt to leave, the sheriff turns his attention to Wednesday and me. "Let's go." He tells us, standing up from his seat.

"Fine." Principle Weems gives in, stalking over to the three of us. "You have five minutes, and everything is off the record." She tells Galpin, stopping in front of him. "Play nice." She tells him, glaring daggers. "Or I will call the mayor."

Weems gives him one final glare before leaving the room. The moment the door closes Wednesday turns to the sheriff. "Someone is trying to cover up Rowan's murder, that's the only reason to scrub the crime scene."

"Is that your professional opinion as the daughter of a murderer?" Sheriff asks making me cross my arms across my chest. "Watch it sheriff."

"My father is twice the man you are." Wednesday tells him, not fazed by his comment. "The only thing he murders is the occasional opera in the shower."
