𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘆-𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗿

                                    

                                          
You both slept well that night, his arms wrapped around you tightly making you feel safe and comfortable. 
Morning rolls around and he wakes up first, admiring you. But you feel him watching you and your eyes flutter open. 
"Are you watching me sleep?" You ask, a smile on your face. 
He shrugs. "Just admiring your beauty is all." 
Pulling out of his grip, you lean up and stretch before he pulls you back into him. "Let's sleep for a bit longer." He says. 
"We can't. We both have things to get done today." You reply, moving your head against his chest to look at him. 
As much as you'd love to lay here all morning, you need to get up and at least clean up the house. 
"I have things I want to tell you." He confesses, grabbing your attention. 
You lift a brow. "What things?" 
Eren lets out a sigh, tracing letters across your back. "It has something to do with my memories...and how things have played out between us before." 
"I'm listening." You whisper, interested to know what he has to say. 
"This is a huge mood killer, but I'm only telling you because I think things are finally changing." He clarifies before continuing. "But you've ended up dying each time." His main goal is to stop that from happening. 
Your eyes widen and you lean up, looking down at him. 
"I know, I know. But I also need you to know that things have changed, and things will be different in the end." Eren explains briefly. 
You're at a loss for words. You died. How is one supposed to take news like that? 
Eren studies the expression on your face as you stare down at him. "Barrett never ran away before, or not that I ever remember happening. And if it was important, it would stick out to me." 
"So...I won't die now?" You ask. 
He raises up too, grabbing hold of your face. "You're not gonna die, okay? I won't let you die." 
A tear slips from your eye, falling down your cheek. He wipes it from your face softly and you close your eyes. 
"Maybe we should just run away. Forget about everything here and just run, we could build a house far away from everything, so nobody would ever find us, and just stay there forever." Eren smiles.
You open your eyes, smiling as well but you sniffle. "Forever? Eren...because of that power within you, you won't be able to live for long." 
"As long as I'd be with you, I don't care." He states. 
Letting out a deep breath, you look him in the eyes. "I have to ask...do you know If I ever saw my parents again?" 
He cups your cheek and slowly shakes his head. "Not that I've seen. Marley was a disaster...it was bad over there after everything went down." 
You don't wanna ask any more questions so you just fall against him as you sigh.

Everybody is helping to clean up the house and you take a step outside for some fresh air.
Looking up at the sky, you notice it's a light blue, and the sun is shining brightly. A beautiful day in Paradis. Hopefully, things are okay. 
The door opens and you turn, unexpectedly seeing Jean sending you a soft smile. "Hey." He says. 
You cross your arms, looking ahead as kids run around with each other. "I hope I'm not bothering you out here..." He then continues whenever you don't answer. "I was just hoping to see if I could talk to you alone."
Jean is standing beside you and you glance over at him. "Look, none of us really know you too well. He talks about you all the time, but he never gives away any details. It's like we know nothing about you. Of course, it hasn't been too long since you've been here, but I do know that Eren is falling in love with you or has fallen in love with you." 
You stare at him as he speaks. 
"I don't know how you feel about that at all. Mikasa is always on edge around you, it's not because she hates you...I mean, I don't think she does. She just worries about him. Growing up, they took care of each other so she's just weary of you since we don't know anything. Before the first time we saw you, we had never seen you guys before." Jean finally looks directly at you.
Pursing your lips, you let out a sigh and look ahead again. "Why are you telling me all of this?" 
"Just because I want you to know how much you mean to him, only knowing him for a short amount of time." Jean shoves his hands in his pockets, also looking ahead. "And because you two act like you've known each other for years. I'm sure there are things I don't know."
You don't say anything and it's silent for a bit.
The wind starts to blow and you close your eyes, feeling the fresh air hit your skin. "You're right, you don't know much. However, I appreciate you for talking to me about it." 
It's nice to have somebody else acknowledge you two. Of course, Nicolo does, but that's just because of everything the two of you have talked about. But it was never talked about like this. 
He nods. "Yeah. I worry about him...and ever since he's met you, he's acted weird...and distant toward us all." 
"I'm sorry you feel that way." You say. 
These are the type of people Eren is willing to leave behind for you. The only people he's had until you came into his life. You're very special to him, and now you realize that. "Our story is so much more than anyone will ever know." You say softly and Jean turns looking at you, the wind blowing once more.

another chapter down. I've actually moved this fanfic to 30 chapters, so there are only 6 chapters left. I plan to spend the rest of the day writing and working to finish this.
