Chloe reluctantly walked up to Beca's apartment. She took the stairs to waste more time, but when she got to the door she couldn't bring herself to knock. She stood outside for what felt like forever and ran over what she wanted to say.

"Now or never, Chloe." She thought.

*knock knock*

Beca opened the door.

"Chloe? How'd you get my address?"

"Amy. Can we talk?"

"Yeah, come inside. Sorry it's a little messy."

Chloe scanned the room. A lot of her posters from their room back at Barden were hung up. She had some of the same photos too, even ones with Chloe in them.

"I love that picture," Chloe said while pointing to a photo of them from Beca's first year at Barden.

"Me too. I miss that."

Chloe sat down on the couch. She wanted to tell Beca everything that had been going on since she left. She wanted to catch her up so there was no time lost. Maybe then they could pick up where they left off.

"Chloe I wanted to talk to you about some stuff too."

"You go first."

"Ever since you confessed your feelings that one night, we've been weird. Even when things were good, our relationship was off. I blame myself for a lot of that because I never let you in. I'm really sorry for how I treated you, and even more sorry it ruined a really good thing. The past year I've been trying to tell myself we would never fix our problems, but I don't believe that."

"It's not your fault, Beca. I didn't tell you about how I felt until you were all I could think about. I had developed so much love for you by the time we got together. I don't blame you for being hesitant, because it was just the beginning for you."

"I want to leave all of that in the past. We had some really great memories that I will cherish forever, but I want to start over with you. I want to make it good this time."

Chloe was quiet for a little bit. She went over the script in her head, trying to find a response to this.

"I miss having you in my arms, Bec. I miss kissing you goodnight, I miss hearing you sing in the shower, and I miss you being the first person I'd go to for everything." None of this was part of the script. Fuck the script.

"Start over with me, Chlo. If it doesn't work this time, we'll leave it at that. I just need us to try one more time before I'll accept that it's over."

"How will it work with the distance?"

"Move in with me."

"What?" Chloe was shocked at how this had escalated.

"Move in with me. This apartment would fit both of us easily, and you can keep doing vet school somewhere nearby."

"Beca I-"

"Just think about it. Please."

"You know, if we really want to try, I'm in." Chloe smiled. She hadn't been this happy since before Beca left.

"Holy shit." Beca hugged Chloe for the longest time. A hug Chloe had been craving for over a year now.
