"So you haven't seen her since she left two days ago?"
"I didn't say that."
"Anastasia, I have given you everything, done everything you ever asked." Elliott began with pleading eyes. "Just be straight with me, what happened to Fiore?"
"I don't know what Josh has been telling you, but remember Elliott, I am the one who can't lie. I am the one who loves you." Anastasia reminded him. "Josh abandoned you for years without so much as a goodbye."
"I know what Josh has done." Elliott continued, refusing to be derailed. "But what happened to Fiore?"
"Fiore broke our arrangement. She saw Klaus." Anastasia replied.
"Klaus was here and you didn't tell me?" Asked Elliott. "So much for no secrets."
"Last I heard you didn't care about the Mikaelsons."
"No, you don't." Elliott snapped, finally at his breaking point. "I care about the Mikaelsons and they care about me. Josh cares about me. Fiore cares about me. I'm starting to think that maybe you don't. I was wrong about you, Stasia."
"No Elliott, I was wrong about you." She sneered. "I thought you were different, that you were better than the rest of the people in this godforsaken timeline. But you're just as bad. You don't understand me. Perhaps you never did."
"Stasia—"
"No. If you want to go be with the Mikaelsons, then go. I won't stop you." Her cold eyes softened momentarily as she offered Elliott a last chance. "But when you realise it was all a mistake, I will still be here."
"Even if you're right about them, that doesn't make me wrong about you." Elliott told her, shattering any chance of reconciliation before her eyes. "But if you realise that none of this is worth it—"
"You know I will not."
Elliott nodded in resignation and with one last glance at Anastasia walked out of his room and out of her life, Josh following behind him.
"Are you alright?" Josh asked him.
"Not sure."
"You were really brave, you know?" Josh told him. "It was like Troy finally standing up to Sharpay."
"I haven't seen those movies."
"I think you'd like them." Josh said with a soft smile.
"Maybe I'll get the chance to now."
"Is that it then?" Josh asked. "Back to New Orleans?"
"Back to the Mikaelsons."
~Klaus POV~
When Klaus returned his home was thankfully empty. He had no idea how he was going to approach the Fiore situation now that it was clear she was not returning of her own volition.
He should have known it wouldn't be so easy to convince Fiore to come back, but as he held her sleeping in his arms, he hoped their love would have been enough. It was rare for Fiore to need saving so the protocol was vague and tough to follow. But regardless, Klaus knew he would. If it took one night or one thousand years, he would bring her home.
"Nik!"
Unless things had progressed quicker than he had anticipated. He turned to see Fiore running towards him with concern until she leapt into his embrace.
"Fiore, what are you—"
"Thank goodness you're okay." She remarked before pulling away to examine the empty compound. "Wait, where's Grace?"
