Malevolentia sat in his void-like pocket dimension, visibly irritated. His clasped hands held his head up like a podium carrying a shining trophy. The dimension was pure black. Everywhere you looked, there was no color to be seen. No color other than the dark gray throne with red cushions and a long red narrow carpet laying right beneath it.

"IGNIS! Get your sorry ass over here!" Malevolentia roared. He didn't want to waste any time, he had to know what happened to Marcie. As soon as he came back to the branch of the willow to dispose of her body, he saw that she was missing. Completely out of sight. Luci quickly answered Mal's angered calls, teleporting to the enraged God's location. Flames engulfed the boy's body and rapidly extinguished as he appeared before the older man.

"What did you do with the girl..?" Mal hissed, arising from his throne to stand before Uriel's much smaller figure.

Uriel groaned, "Is she not at the fucking tree where you killed her?"

"Watch your tone, boy," Mal said, with the same husky voice which intimidated Marcie just hours before. He tenderly grabbed Uriel's bare neck with a single hand and leaned his head toward his ear.

"All I'm asking for are her whereabouts. She's out there. And she's alive." He muttered. "I can feel it, I can feel her heart beating..."

The hand which grasped Uriel's neck became tighter, It steadily put immense pressure on his esophagus as it levitated him with ease.

"...I want the beating to stop. Do you understand, Ignis?"

"Y-Yes," Luci said, choked up from the pressure of Mal's grip on his throat. After what felt like an eternity of staring into each other's souls, Malevolentia let go of the younger God, leaving him to fall to his knees on the solid and cold floor.

"I know about your little crush on her, It's obvious. Do you remember what I told you after that other girl?" Mal reminded.

"Her name was Jayda. And you said how I'm not supposed to fall in love with inferior beings. Some bullshit that is." Luci said under his breath.

"Exactly. You aren't supposed to fall in love at all. Humans come and go in a snap. They grow old and die in the blink of an eye."

Malevolentia walked back to his throne, collapsing back onto the cushioned seat in disappointment. His head rose to glare at Luci, His red slit eyes dug into the younger God's already damaged soul.

"Knowing you, I'll have to do it myself again." Mal intoned.

Luci's eyes widened, his heart dropping to his feet. He struggled to stand up, He had to get out of there. He had to tell Marcie what was going to happen to her. In a snap, Flames engulfed Luci's body and extinguished once he was transported out of Malevolentia's realm.

Marcie spent the day bedridden, despite the fact she felt completely fine.

"Bullshit. This is all bullshit." Marcie said under her breath. It was until she heard 3 knocks on the door. Nissan's head popped in before finally he entered --- to his standards --- the smallest room in his life.

"Hey, Kid! Just wanted to check up on you since, you know..." Nissan had said, "Well at least you're taking the pain like a champ! Last time I dealt with a bite that bad, I was babysitting the damn source of it all!"

"It's fine, I'm not in pain at all actually." Marcie paused, "Wait... You BABYSAT MALEVOLENTIA?!"

" 'Course I did. I was 15 back then, and Isaac was about 7. He put a bite on my ass as a joke... It ached for WEEKS." Nissan howled, getting a laugh out of Marcie fairly easily.
