"Of the highest caliber."

"Good."

"Only the best for you."

"I know, that goes without saying, perhaps."

"I want to wake up our brothers."

"I have already learned from Miss Forbes that you are a very expensive person."

"Hmm... that sounds like me."

"Um hello?-"

"I know how to bribe you-"

"Hey!"

I let out an annoyed sigh and looked at a frustrated Rebekah. I pointed at Elijah in front of me before with a threatening tone. "I'm not simple and I'm not cheap to pay either. What you can offer me doesn't always work, but the idea would be..." I smirked with one last look at him.

"Cassie? Seriously? You're going to ignore me and flirt with my brother in front of me instead," Rebekah put her hands on her hips, now looking like the very familiar angry blonde - Caroline.

I shrugged my shoulders. "I'm sorry, I can't help myself," I pretended to whisper, "Have you noticed that you're all very hot and cute except for the dog?"

"I'm not a dog!"

"That dog over there," she pointed at Niklaus. "He just said he's going to let you flirt with the rest of my brothers who are very much alive."

"What?" Elijah and I both asked at the same time. Elijah sounded more incredulous and I sounded more... curious.

"Is it true brother?"

"I think it's time to reunite with our siblings."

One by one, the silver daggers were pulled from the gray veined bodies. Bodies jerked and I watched the siblings look at their brothers. Although everyone wanted to hide their own true feelings, all I saw was love.

I knew this kind of love. Key word - knew. Once someone looked at me with such love. Endless until she found an end and disappeared. That person loves you in a different way, it's unusual for a lot of people, but it never makes it less valuable.

I see between them the promise of the future, their promise. Hope for life side by side.

"You know... I think it's best if you give me the daggers Niklaus. I'll put them in a safe place,'' I said and gently touched his hand. He turned his head towards me, but it was his eyes that stopped me, so much vulnerability in them.

Niklaus looked at where I was touching before he looked back at me with a smile adorning his lips. "Anything for the family," he nodded and broke our gaze and left the room. I saw him walking away from me.

I looked back at Rebekah who was stroking her brother's cheek and looking up at me with a face full of gratitude. ''Thank you. I mean it, Cassie. I never thought I would see this day. Of course I wanted it in my heart, but I never-'' her voice broke. "- this is unbelievable. We as a family side by side,'' there were tears in her eyes and she was not afraid to let them out. I admire her.

I nodded at her with a smile, "I'm glad you're finally happy Bex. You deserve it, all of you,'' we looked at each other before I cleared my throat and excused myself to find Elijah. I found him in the yard. He was sitting on a bench and looking into the distance.

I sat down next to him and didn't say anything. After a while he put his arm around my shoulders and pulled me closer to him. "Thank you," he whispered and kissed my forehead. I nodded slightly and put my hand on his back, making circular motions with it. We leaned into each other's touch and just sat quietly in each other's arms and watched the surroundings.
