We have breaking news. There is a complete lockdown at the GRC meeting in Lower Manhattan where authorities are saying they are tracking multiple threats from groups seeking to stop the GRC's vote on global resettlement. There is a no fly zone in effect and the NYPD has the area secured for the moment. Everyone is urged to stay clear.

Catarina didn't plan on staying clear.

When they first got this news, Catarina and Bucky immediately changed courses from back home to Lower Manhattan, where all the action was. Despite being urged to stay clear, the place was full of people. Caution tape, cones, and blockades kept crowds out of the dangerous areas. Red and blue lights lit up the dark of night and the faces of all the police and national guard standing around. Armed men watched everything closely.

Sam had been alerted to the situation even before they were. As he was further away, he took a little longer than them to get there. When they arrived at the scene, Sam was flying in.

"I'm almost there," said his voice from the comms they shared.

"What's the plan?" replied Bucky, as he and Catarina walked toward the occupied GRC building, wary of the surroundings.

"Karli's gonna be close. Keep your eyes open."

"These guys could be everywhere," said Cat, looking at the large groups of people.

Bucky and Cat walked past two armed guards standing near the blockades for the people and the press. "Sergeant Barnes, Agent Palmer," one greeted. Cat nodded in return. Bucky didn't say anything.

"And by the way, I called in some backup," said Sam.

"Excuse me, ma'am, sir. Are you supposed to be here?" said a voice behind them. Bucky and Cat both turned around, brows scrunched, as the person pressed on the side of their temple and a hexagon pattern appeared across their face. A hand peeled off the digital mask and the person took the black beanie they had been wearing, revealing the features of Sharon. "It's me," she said, in a low tone.

"Sharon, what the hell are you doing here?" asked Bucky.

"Relax," she said. "No one's looking for me here." She began walking with them.

"Do I hear Sharon?" said Sam.

"Unfortunately," replied Bucky. Catarina scoffed.

"Hey, Sam," said Sharon. "Thought I'd get the band back together."

"Thank you. You're risking a lot coming here."

"I hear pardons aren't all they're cracked up to be, anyway," she said, looking at Bucky.

"Depends on the therapist," he remarked.

"They'll move on the building soon. Be ready."

Cat, Bucky, and Sharon walked up toward the building's entrance. A couple wary minutes passed before they heard Sam's voice again.

"Guys, what's going on on your end?"

"Nada," replied Cat. "All quiet."

"No one's moving toward the building," said Sharon, a little suspicious.

"Karli's not coming in," came Sam's voice quickly. "She's trying to force everybody out."

No one in— everyone out. That was Karli's plan. Then she could kill them all outside.

"Come on," said Catarina, taking larger strides toward one of the entrances to the building.

"You guys are gonna have to do something," said Sam's voice, out of breath. "Don't let 'em out of the building."
