He waited.
He was waiting for a good twenty minutes as he was near a fountain.
Y/n, our protagonist was already at the point of interest mentioned yesterday, near the fountain was a theater that him and his date was supposed to be at, leaning his back on the wall while staring at his phone.
His clothes were basic, just a long sleeve crew neck with a jacket on his arm and some chinos to go with it. Though dressed moderately, his body language wasn't as his body fidgeted as a minute passes by.
"...It's twelve fifteen already..." he muttered to himself, running his hand through his hair as he glanced around his surroundings. "...I really hope she's on her way right now before the movies start..."
It was true, he was supposed to meet her fifteen minutes ago. His limit was forty-five since he wanted this date to be somewhat fun or a little romantic.
And since he knew only three movies that felt appropriate was around those times, he wasn't sure what their plans were going to be if they didn't make it to the movie they liked.
"..."
Twelve-thirty.
The time that Y/n was comfortable on waiting until to. But since the time had reached to this point of the day, it made him feel agitated.
No signs of the girl with pink hair, she should be easy to spot if any case since people with pink hair weren't common.
He sees no sign of that trait, his foot tapped eagerly as he hoped for her appearance soon. They were supposed to meet at twelve so it would be understandable that if she was half an hour late.
A girl like her need lots of time, he imagined.
All that beauty must be a hassle to maintain since she is a girl.
...No... We're here to watch a movie... We'd be in the dark for an hour and a half...
...She could be looking for something amazing to wear...
...Can't be... Maybe she misplaced her wallet somewhere?
He was looking for a good reason that she could be late for a movie date.
...Maybe...
...Sigh...
"...She's not coming, is she?"
He can't find one, letting out a negative trait he always had since his first rejection.
His lack of confidence.
The only thing he was able to do now was accept his unluckiness with girls, smiling softly as he glanced up at the light blue sky of high noon.
Then a tear appeared, lurking from one of his eyes as the wind wasn't doing any better about his saddening state.
"...Why do I always think I have a chance?" He asked himself as he gets up from the wall he leaned on and stuffed his hands into his pocket.
"...I should've learned from the last few... 'dates' I 'went' on before... They were only trying to be nice and didn't want to hurt my feelings... Especially when this girl is way... way out of my league..."
He sighs once more as he glanced his head towards a few movie posters that lined up on the wall he was on.
His e/c eyes lands on one, a romantic one that they were potentially going to watch.
On it was a couple, one of them resembled himself as he smiled happily while staring at his girlfriend.
This was a dream he wanted, yet this one was out of his reach. What could he be doing wrong for someone to share nearly the exact traits get a girlfriend?
