Jin Ling realized three things about Sizhui: first, he's a learned fool, which is foolish than a natural fool; second, he's smart but obnoxious; and third—

"SHAMELESS!" Jin Ling yelled at the smiling Sizhui from the top of his lungs.

"Why don't you like it?" Sizhui inquired.

"I JUST SAVED YOU FROM ALL THAT CRYING BECAUSE IT'S ANNOYING... AND YOU'RE EVEN ANNOYING!"

"Thank you very much."

"It's not a compliment," Jin Ling shot back.

Sizhui smiled at him. Sizhui is currently refusing to let go of Jin Ling, their hands intertwined... Note... INSIDE THE SCHOOL...

They drew several observers, some of whom were disgusted and others who slyly smiled at them. Some people laugh, while others have a heart attack. Even Sizhui's fan club fainted when they saw their prince charming so close to the young mistress.

The rule of life? No... it's not... It was just—

Jin Ling hissed, "I'm not a cut sleeve!"

It's simply a matter of affection.

"Well... Too bad... I'm..." Sizhui smugly smiled.

Jin Ling's flushed face could be seen from miles away.

"hahaha... Just kidding... You're too serious, that's why it's so good to tease you... No wonder, Jingyi, really liked to mess with you..." Sizhui laughed heartily and let go of his hand.

"Another word... And I swear I'm going to kill you..." Jin Ling exclaimed, "you're on par with my scumbag uncle..."

"Who is uncle?" Jingyi inquired.

"Wei Ying," Jin Ling began.

Sizhui looked at him in disbelief, and the rest of the group looked at him with interest.

"What?! He's been adopted by my grandparents... And I swear his antics are even worse now..."

"But you've never acted as if he's your uncle!" exclaimed one.

"We're in school... Do you think I can afford to be the target of all the bullies here shouting I'm riding at my uncle's tailcoat?"

Typical school issues. Nonetheless, no one wanted to be known as someone who had connections in school to get good grades. Hard work with all of your loved ones determines your future, not excellence with someone pulling the strings.

Sizhui was aware of this reasoning. Nobody wanted to be called simply because they were the son, daughter, or nephew of someone. He was mindful of Jin Ling's competitive personality, and he did not want to be barred simply because of who he is.

Sizhui was aware that both Wei Ying and Men Yao, their school's principal, was Jin Ling's uncle. But neither of them crosses the line between their profession and family relationship. He knew they both loved and cared for Jin Ling, which is why they never interfered with his business while maintaining their unbiased education and principles.

Sizhui knew this because Lan Wangji was also a university instructor. Whether Lan's or not. His father would always be unbiased and partial to anything and everything.

"Don't worry, no one sweats the small stuff," Zizhen said, "you're not Jin Chan..."

The boys then finalize their plans for tomorrow's school event. Yin Qing apologized to Sizhui and resumed his aloof demeanor.

Sizhui returned home to find his father standing by his car, surrounded by women who were staring at him. Lan Wangji, however, remains unmoved and passive despite their flirtatious winks and grins.

"Lan Zhan is diety... So beautiful, almost ethereal, so pretty..." said his shameless teacher.

"Sir Wei... How can you be so open with your remarks?" Sizhui challenged him.

"How? Just say it," Wei Ying smirked, "his beauty is unparalleled not only for that stoic face—"

Wei Ying couldn't finish his sentence when he and Sizhui noticed that gentle smile directed at them...

"Take that back, Sizhui... Lan Zhan's smile could be a weapon of mass destruction," Wei Ying, who is now staring at the approaching smiling man, said. Several women nearly passed out, and some students squealed.

Lan Wangji returned his usual stoic smile after stopping in front of them.

Wei Ying shook his head in embarrassment as Sizhui greeted his father. *Shit!. He cursed his own name.

"What are you two discussing?" Wangji inquired.

"How lovely y—" but was stopped by Wei Ying's hand.

"Nothing... Mr. Lan..." he replied quickly.

Sizhui simply grinned at the back of his hand.

As the group of boys approached, Wei Ying and Sizhui just smiled.

However, Wangji's gaze was drawn to the two people at the very back of the group. He locked his gaze on the aloof, unsmiling red-haired lad and the one with the huge grin, red eyes, and black-haired lad.

He was able to tell the difference between the two. Very different from the rest of the group.

His attention was drawn back to the bickering Jingyi and Wei Ying.

At the scene, his eyes are soft. "By the way, Mr. Lan... Tomorrow's the school event... It's an open school activity, so you are free to come and watch your nephew and son's epic performance," Wei Ying said.

"It's not epic!" retorted Jingyi.

"What do you call that dancing?" Wei Ying asked, "that duck dance?"

The group laughed at Jingyi's reddening.

"I'll keep an eye on it... I'll invite my brother..." Wangji said.

"We can also invite Grandpa," Sizhui suggested.

Sizhui tucked Jingyi's collar and dragged him towards the cars, saying, "See you tomorrow, Sir Wei!"

"Traitor!" wailed Jingyi as Sizhui dragged him towards the car.

"It's okay, Jingyi... We'll back you up to your glory!" Zizhen pondered.

"All of you are traitors! Wait! Don't tug me!!! Sizhuiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii."

The group also said their goodbyes, including Wangji's two lads. He looked at Wei Ying, sighed, and left, saying thoughtfully, "see you tomorrow..."

Wei Ying gave a sweet smile.

Yes, I will see you tomorrow... How he loved to hear those words.

But what else can he do? He didn't opt for this life. He went with HIM. Life was just part of the deal.

He knew that love would teach him things that no other teacher could. It will teach pain and comfort. Most importantly, it will teach him how to live.

And he does not regret everything...

"Was this part of my punishment, Suibian?"

"I'm not sure... But we always wanted you to be happy... Me... Chenqing... Even Yin Hu Fu..." Sui Chen replied, "we always wanted you to be happy..."

Always...

Because you are deserving...
