Teja soon reached Shruti 's house to see if she was fine . She was very guilty that though unintentionally, she did hurt  Shruti. 
Teja entered her house , greeted Dr Suman and in return Dr Suman directed her to Shruti's room.
Shruti saw Teja, smiled at her and asked her to take a seat, there was silence for the next few minutes which was broken by Teja as she started telling her that whatever happened was totally unintentionally from her side.
Shruti after listening to Teja , smiled at her and said that she doesn't hold her responsible for the things that happened.
"Sooner or later this was going to happen, yes maybe not infront of three other people " Shruti said with a chuckle.
Teja didn't know what to say , so she remained quiet.
After a few minutes,
Shruti said " you know Teja, Karan said that we were not meant to be, but how would have I known that. I liked him, wanted to be with him and wished for reciprocations, was I wrong in wishing for it. "
Teja kept silent for a few seconds and said," you are definitely not wrong for wishing something which gives you happiness, but if you don't get it , you should always know that there is something even better waiting for you. "
"I hope so. And don't worry I'm not going to cry for a man, that's not me." Shruti said with a smile.
Teja bid her goodbye and was about to leave when Dr Suman met her.
"Thank you for coming Teja, I hope that she behaved respectfully"
"She did ma'am. I hope she is fine."
"Yes she is, she will stay a little quiet for a few days, but will be back to normal soon"
"Ma'am I am really sorry, I didn't do anything intentionally today"
"I know, no need to explain, moreover I should be the one apologizing, I behaved really selfish. I am sorry for asking you to stay away from the team, I shouldn't have done that."
"It's ok ma'am, I can totally understand"
"I hope it didn't create any distance between you and Karan"
"It did not. 
Rather it made me see that I have made such strong bonds, be it with Karan or Ruturaj. I will be always grateful to you for introducing me to them."
They then talked about some other stuff related to the hospital and Teja left.


Two days passed to the incident but neither Karan nor Teja called each other. Teja wanted to talk to Karan but didn't know how. After coming back from the hospital Teja finally convinced herself to atleast try to talk to him. She called him , but Karan didn't answer. 
'Either he is busy or he doesn't want to talk to me' Teja thought , but still tried once more. At the last ring Karan picked up the call
"Were you busy? I hope that I didn't disturbe you"
"Why did you call?" Karan said in a cold tone
.
"I guess you are busy. I will call you later." Teja said being a little scared by the the tone in which Karan was talking.
' He is definitely angry' she thought.
"Teja I am not busy. Can I know the reason why you called" Karan said trying to be composed.
'I just wanted to know how you were" Teja said ignorantly.
"Teja....can you directly come on point"
"Sorry" Teja said instantly
"It's ok....bye" Karan said. 
By this time all of his anger was gone . Listening to her voice was enough to make him calm and forget all the reasons of anger because of which he stopped himself from calling her. Now he just wanted to tease her.
"Karan please" Teja shouted
"What? You said sorry, I accepted it ,now what."
"Karan please don't do this. It already took a lot for me to call you."
"Yes that is pretty clear. You took more than two days to call me ."
Teja laughed.
She was no longer tensed of what will Karan say because she could see him trying to tease her.
"Shameless"
"I'm sorry Karan. I didn't knew that she will confess like that."
"I don't have any problem with the way she confessed, my answer would have remained the same. But why didn't you tell me about it earlier, and you were going to help her, you really thought that I liked her."
"Me telling you about her feelings behind her back would have been really wrong , and the help which you are taking about was regarding me finding out how you feel about her , that's it."
"What was there like finding out Teja. Wasn't it pretty clear that I had no such feelings."
"How would I know that. I wasn't around you most of the time to see how you talked with her. I saw you guys talking for the first time while you were leaving for Australia, and you looked pretty comfortable. I also got to know that you talked with her every alternate day. Even when I asked you to call Shruti also in the get together, you agreed so easily. So I thought maybe...."
"I liked her. "
"Hmmm"
"Tu saachi doctor hi hai na . Saare exams pass kiye hai na tune, or agar kar liye hai to kese. Tujhe sunkar lagta to nahi hai ki tu inteligent hai."
"Aayee , bohot inteligent hu mein."
"Gh**ta ! You saw me talking to her comfortably, but can you name a person with whom I don't. Yes I guess we talked every alternate day, but she used to call me , and we hardly used to talk for a few minutes. Also I agreed for adding her in the plan as well because..... I didn't see any reason to object it."
"Ooooh. I guess I misunderstood your action."
"You surely did Miss Prakash. "
"By the way, you meet Shruti? I hope she has not taken any of it to heart."
"Yes I went to see her that day itself. She is fine....
Karan, but if you really liked someone what will be the hints you will drop so that I can know that you like her."
"I don't think I will drop any major hints , it will be really subtle. It will be in my eyes, in the way I look at her , in the way I talk to her or talk about her."
Teja didn't say anything further. She was admiring the way Karan spoke , so softly, so beautifully. 
There was a few minutes of silence between them, a kind of silence which felt peaceful. Both of them had a smile on their face and with that they decided to end the topic there and started talking about other things.
