The following day, while Sayaka continued to rest in bed in the afternoon, she dreamt of her twin brother, Igarashi Kaito.

"You're conceiving?! That's awesome! I'm going to be an Uncle!" Kaito exclaimed, hugging his twin sister happily.

"Thank you, you should visit more often, especially once they're born," Sayaka siggested, smiling. "You'll be the best Uncle they will ever have, just don't tell our older brothers I said that."

Kaito petetd her head, beaming cheerily. "You got it! I'm going to be their favourite Uncle!"

Suddenly, Kaito gasped, a blade piercing him from behind. His blood splattered onto his twin sister, who screamed.

"KAITO!"

Sayaka shot awake, sobbing in anguish. How could she forget? He had died before she could save him, she could have prevented him, but she had been too late. Now her children won't even have the chance to meet him. Kaito had always teased her about having children, and how he would visit them everyday, but now......

Sayaka's grief affected her unborn children, who started to turn aggressive.

The mother cried out in agony as sharp pains could be felt from her abdomen. She collapsed back onto her bed, her head exploding with excruciating agony.

"Kaito...Kirari..."

*****

Kirari had just finished having a "nice chat" with Goro when she heard her wife's cry of pain and grief.

Memories of her wife's ordeal with the Tanuki surfaced in her mind instantaneously. She dashed to their chambers, stopping as she saw the state Sayaka was in.

"Sayaka," Kirari said breathlessly. She pulled Sayaka closer, such that her wife's head rested on her lap Kirari wrapped an arm around Sayaka's abdomen, her palm giving out blue magic in the form of soft waves.

"Shh, Sayaka, I need you to calm down."

"I----can't!" Sayaka cried.

Kirari rubbed her wife's abdomen softly in circles. "Calm down now, little ones. You're hurting your mother."

Sayaka sighed as the pain gradually faded away. She closed her eyes, her body turning limp in Kirari's protective arms and tails.

"Hm...Kirari..."

Kirari stroked her wife's abdomen reassuringly, one of her Kistune tails shifting to stroke her wife's pale cheek.

After a few more moments, Sayaka's face regained its colour and her breathing evened out.

Kirari sat Sayaka on her lap, allowing her to nestle her head on her shoulder.

The Queen observed her wife, concerned.

"Now that you're alright, my lily, tell me what's wrong, please. It hurts me to see you in such distress," the Queen whispered tenderly.

Sayaka nuzzled her head against her wife's shoulder.

"I......"
