Thalia POV
-----Immediately after they left-----
We appeared on the hill overlooking camp Jupiter, where Polybotes attacked when he invaded during the giant war. We wore our armor and cloaks, so our faces were completely hidden.
"Well," Leo offered his hand to me, "M'lady, would you like to do the honors?" I laughed, and it was genuine at first, but then it turned into a dark chuckle.
"Yes, I would love to," I said as I drew my spear; it had a red shaft and a purple point. I pointed at the city, and suddenly, the sky darkened as lightning struck all of the rooftops of the buildings in the city, and alarms went up throughout the camp. Leo clapped very dramatically.
"Nicely done, now it's my turn." Leo raised his hands, and fire and light rained on the camp, burning the buildings to ash, leaving many shocked campers as his fire left them all alone. "Well, let's get to work," he said as he drew his battle hammer, which had an orange hilt and a yellowish-golden hammerhead. As we charged the camp, we were met with half the legion, who were fully armed and ready.
We sped up to the speed of minor gods, clashed and slaughtered half of the people we were fighting, and left half of them alive. "So that's what? 1/4 of the camp down, right? How many more do we need to kill?" Leo asked me.
Suddenly, he was hit by a fireball fired from an onager, and the campers cheered before seeing Leo with just the end of his cloak singed. "Ooh, they still have those; I wanna take one back with me to fix it up," he said as if nothing had happened until he looked at his singed cloak. "Man, this is my favorite cloak!" he exclaimed as he removed it and stood in armor made with our combined powers. It was pitch black and completely indestructible.
The Romans were terrified because someone just got hit in the face by an onager, and all he complained about was how it ruined his favorite cloak. I said, "Well, we can fix the cloak when we return and take one of the onagers. Does that make you feel better, my little star?" "Fine," He grumbled. We walked towards the remaining campers and the onagers casually as they prepared to fire again, "None of that," I said as I waved my hand, and the campers who were about to fire lifted into the air, terrified.
Finally, the praetors approached us; I could tell who they were because the remaining campers moved out of the way, and they wore the medals that marked them as praetors. "Why are you doing this? You're gods or something of the sort," the guy praetor on the left said.
"Well, we will answer your question when you tell us who you are," Leo said. Ever the clueless guy. The girl praetor cleared her throat, "I am Bethany, one of the praetors; he is Ralph, the other praetor." The boy raised his hand and said, "Hey, I'm Ralph, so who are you, and why are you doing this?" he gestured around to the bodies of the dead and unconscious as I was still holding those managing the onagers in the air.
"Well, you may call us Hemera and Ouranos, and why we are here is because we want to see the gods fall, and your numbers were too high for our purposes," I said as they visibly paled. I looked at Leo and said, "If I'm not mistaken, if I kill those I'm holding in the air, we will have reduced their numbers to around where we wanted." Leo nodded and said, "You are correct, but first," he surrounded his cloak and one of the onagers that hadn't been fired with light and transported them to different parts of the castle.
"Ok, now they can die," he chirped, and I lifted the demigods 100 ft into the air and dropped them, making them go splat, and the sight caused many campers to throw up. "Well, mission complete; we should go," I said happily.
"Wait!" Ralph said boldly. "In the name of Jupiter Optimus Maximus, you shall not go anywhere!" I looked at them, and Leo laughed, "We told you we are primordials, and you say we are not allowed to leave in the name of the pathetic king of the Olympians? You are quite foolish, boy."
He shuffled nervously, and Bethany drew her sword, "As he said, you are not going anywhere unless you go through us." Leo and I laughed a wicked laugh that sent shivers down their spines. "Well, let's not disappoint them; they want us to go through them, and we shall," I tell Leo. Leo responded, "So we attack at a speed slightly faster than them, or do we go the same speed to taunt them?"
"I say we go same speed to toy with them," as we charged. I drew my shield and charged the female praetor, and she pulled her gladius and twisted her bracelet into a shield, and we clashed. I kept a decent distance and jabbed with my spear, only gaining minor hits on her legs arms, and a few cuts on her face.
I glanced over and saw Leo twirling his battle hammer with a bored expression as he smashed Ralph's sword, which shattered into a blinding golden light, blasting the praetors and all the other campers to the ground. I focused on my target, who was sprawled out on the floor due to the blast. I stabbed her through the leg, disabling her from walking.
I walked over to Leo and said, "So that's what happens when you break an imperial gold weapon." He nodded, "Yeah, that's the first time I've seen it happen since Jason's fight with Enceladus. Ok, time for us to go." I took his hand, and we lightning traveled back to the throne room and were met with all the others.
