LanFen felt herself relax. "Ehehe. Ehehehe. What a considerate healer!" She was relieved that the healer, whoever he was, hadn't revealed her secret, and she mentally vowed to thank him if she ever met him.
But despite her relief, colour rushed to her face slightly, as blind or not, a man had helped her change, and not just once or twice!
Lu FengHo was now eyeing her reddened face curiously. 'Does he have a fever?'
But LanFen quickly distracted him.
"Handsome elder brother, I've been asleep for quite a while! Why not come and sit next to me?" She patted the space beside her, then rose an eyebrow suggestively.
This time, Lu FengHo was only mildly flustered. "I'm not even surprised anymore!"
"Ahaha! Teasing you will become less fun, if you adapt so quickly!" LanFen got to her feet, but wobbled slightly, and Lu FengHo rushed to catch her arm. "You're not fully recovered. Sit! How could you allow yourself to receive eighty lashes without using spirit power?!!"
"Ehehe. I was thinking of Handsome Elder Brother, so I was able to bear it!" She teased.
He flushed. "Silence!"
.
Bright and early the next day...
LanFen opened her eyes slowly, and blinked a few times.
"*Zhao Gōngzǐ! I heard you had regained consciousness."
*Young Master Zhao
LanFen's soul nearly jumped out of her skin, as she realized there were several people in the room!
Clan Leader Shuǐ was the one who had spoken, and he was seated at the room table, his legs primly folded beneath him.
He elegantly poured tea into a cup, and handed it to her grand uncle, Zhao ChaoYun, who was seated opposite him.
Zhao ChaoYun grinned at her.
Beside him was Ming Shen Zhu, and across Ming Shen Zhu was Wei ZhuQing.
Wei ZhuQing was the Clan Leader of Misty Mountain Sect, a prominent Minor sect in the Northern Region. She grinned at Zhao LanFeng, then rose an elegant, graying eyebrow, reminding 'him' of her offer in the Shuǐ prison.
LanFen smiled nervously at her. 'Old woman, don't you want descendants? If I really marry your grandaughter, wouldn't that end your bloodline?!'
LanFen inclined her head in greeting, before hastily looking away!
Standing politely by the door, were Shuǐ ChénLín and Lu FengHo.
Shuǐ ChénLín's narrow gaze moved over her face with a closed expression.
He was dressed in the light blue robes of the Shuǐ Clan, with the front of his hair, held up by the ever-present accessory, while the rest flowed down his back.
Lu FengHo, eyed her with mild worry.
He didn't think she was well enough to be receiving so many guests, and as if LanFen heard his thoughts, she asked, "Why are so many people bothering the sick?"
"LanFeng! Show your manners!" Zhao ChaoYun reprimanded, but secretly winked at her.
She bit back a grin, then bowed to each of them. "I offer my respects, Clan Leader Shuǐ, Clan Leader Zhao, Clan Leader Ming, Clan Leader Wei."
"It's fine it's fine." Shuǐ ChangSheng waved away her greeting. "You should be resting. Four of us coincidentally came to check on your progress today, so we are having tea and discussing pleasantries... "
