SUMMARY REACTION: SWEET HAVEN CHAPTERS 22-27
           
                As the story comes to end, the struggle of Naia and Narita continues. Other characters will bond and have mutual understandings. Attorney Joel Furton's life will be told. Young Narita's rendezvous will be exposed. Fighting for the light in the case of Naia will come to a sad end. Narita and her daughter will finally try to make amends in their mother-daughter relationship. Naia's father, Zenon and Attorney Joel's friendship will be unveiled. The truth about the leaked scandal will shed apart. Secrets, lies and secret pains of the characters will also be revealed in the last remaining chapters. Throughout Chapters 23 to 27, the Pastors continue to show off different ways of coping up and viewing their current situation and future endeavors as a family.
            The twenty-third chapter started by introducing Attorney Joel Fortun living alone in a new subdivision on Donostia's outskirts. In a corner of the sala lies a picture frame of a bride and her groom. Both Joel and his wife were ridiculously happy in the picture. Narita then noticed he does not wear any ring on his fingers. She then wondered who Joel brings at his house in order to serve as his wife. And when the houseboy fed them their heated supper, she then thought if he cared who she was or he knew anything about his employer's life.
            There was a report on the local news and photos about the homicide of Gemma Bulauan and her husband, Tristan. The leak pornographic video was not mentioned, as well as her attempt to speak to the authorities. Tristan was being detained as a suspect. According to Joel, a man needs to be punished whenever he lays his hands on a woman. Or else he will never stop doing it again. Narita wondered what he'll say if she will reveal to him that his good friend Zenon used to beat her. Would he put his arm around her, will Joel pity her, would he sympathize her? She needed to urinate but Narita was too afraid to break their contact though this was not the first time she's been to a strange man's home. Joel then broke their contact, turned off the television and offered her anything she desires.
            At the bathroom, she couldn't accept the fact that she wants him. She has only known him for three days except the one semester Literature class. She might wreck his career. She then wondered his career as the city attorney where one witness was dead and the other one would be banished to Manila. There was the third girl, Diana Rosales but Narita knew so little about her – only the fact that she has taken up the mayor's offer and was now temporarily house in one of his home. Narita was sorry that her decision to protect Naia would be the reason of Joel's undoing. Without Naia as witness, there would be no scapegoat. All the blame would be left to his cousin, JP Torres. She then thought of the confession Joel had made to her that afternoon that he was the mayor's boy. He serve for the mayor's pleasure. She massage her temples and crept out of the bathroom.
            Joel was not in the living room when she went out of the bathroom. Several rooms later, she found herself at Joel's study. There she found various papers like search warrants and some legal papers. There were also videos – local and foreign, glossy and rough pornographic videos. The topmost was the one which Gemma, Naia and Diana Rosales starred. Narita asked Joel why there was a video like that in his room. Did he use it for research or for inspiration? In that moment, Joel understood what Narita meant. Out of rage, Diana blurted out everything that has happened to her in Zenon Cuaresma's hands.
            Joel knew everything of Zenon's naughty doings. From the private peep shows he conducted for his friends at his boarding house to using her to release his rage after their fight. Joel knew all along but did nothing at all. To stop Narita's sob, he closed the gap between the two. She wrapped her arms around his shoulder, his cheek was against her and his breath was hot against her hair. After all of the countless sex they've made, one afternoon, Narita confronted Zenon that she was pregnant. Joel and the other roommates were too afraid to care. There were thumps, shouts and cries. Narita even beg for mercy. But even after the countless battering and fight, by the very next afternoon, she was running back to Zenon's arms.
