Derek's Pov
It was already Saturday evening and i was getting ready for the party at Olivia's place. I finished all of my part time jobs earliest as possible, so that i could manage to be at Olivia's palce at time. Most of everyone in the school were invited to the party including Blake. I wasn't particularly a party person. It's not that i don't liked it but i was too busy to do any of that. I rolled my eyes thinking the creepy smirk Blake gave me when i told him i am also going to this one. Sometimes he is unbearable.
"Riya, you ready?" I asks leaning against the door frame looking at her. She was in her pink dress, dancing now and then while  checking her attire in the mirror.
"One minute, Ricky" she said putting something  hurriedly on her face. I rolled my eyes hearing the same answer from past half an hour.
"We are going to be late because of you, angel " i said shaking my head sitting on the bed began to scroll through my phone. 
Olivia
I will be waiting.

Derek
Yes your highness!
I  smiled looking at Olivia's message but get startled when someone cleared their throat.
"Stop smiling like a creep, dude." Blake said standing infront the door leaning against it.
"When did you arrive?" I asks rolling my eyes before putting the phone back into my pocket.
"Just now" he said shrugged.
"Uncle ..." Riya said running to Blake cutely before showing him her new dress.
"You look gorgeous, riya." He said  pinching her cheeks before pick her up on the shoulder. She is already fourteen but that didn't stopped Blake from spoiling her, just to make her smile. He is one of the family.
"Let's go Blake. We are already late." I said walking past them only to get a eye roll from Blake.

"Happy Birthday, Mrs. Alex-, Mom" I said smiling remembering she liked me to call her mom. 
"It's not something big but i hope you like it." I says passing the gift a bit of embarassed. I didn't know what to get her so i choose something what my mother liked. Emma pulled me into a warm hug rubbing my back motherly. 
"You don't have to buy these things, darling. I am more than happy seeing you today." She said back away patting my head lovingly.
"Beautiful ladies deserves beautiful gifts." I said with a smile making her to slap on my shoulder shyly. 
" Don't makes this old lady blush, young man." She said making us both laugh loudly.
"What's makes my beautiful wife to laugh like this?" Mr. Alexander comes from behind holding his wife close to his chest not noticing my presence.
"Stop it ,you old man!. Derek is watching." Emma said elbowing him glancing at me with a shy smile. I could see how much they loving each other even at this age.
"Oh.. Derek, Sorry i didn't noticed you. I am glad you came here and being a part of our happiness, son" Mr. Alexander said politely shaking my hand.
"It's my pleasure to meet you again, Mr. Alexander." I said smiling but he raised his eyebrow at me like i had forgotten something.
