Hailey opened her bedroom window happily, breathing in the fresh air through her nostrils. She felt the sun's warm, yellow rays touch her delicate skin, making her sigh in content. It was the morning of another Sunday, and Hailey had just woken up for the day. She stretched her arms out a bit, relaxing them soon after. It had just gone past 8am. Only 10 more hours to go.
"Hailey, Bethany, Alexzander! Wakey wakey! Breakfast is ready!" Hailey heard Shannon, her mother, shout from the kitchen downstairs.
"Coming mom!" Hailey replied, walking towards a shelf that was situated in her room, grabbing her hairbrush from it. She brushed her locks of hair with ease, making it neat again. After that was done, she placed her hairbrush down and tied her hair up into its regular ponytail with her tie that was on her wrist.
The cobalt blue-haired teenager left her bedroom and saw Zander, who had just gotten out of his room, rubbing his eyes in a groggy state. A small groan escaped his lips as he did so. "Good morning, Zander!" Hailey said with a grin.
"What..? Oh, yeah..Good morning, Tiny.." Zander yawned at the end of his reply, making his way towards the stairs so he could get to the kitchen for breakfast.
"Trouble is still asleep..Wake her up, would you?" Zander spoke out to his sister while he was halfway through the staircase. He then continued on, reaching the bottom. Hailey watched her brother trail off, and then headed to her little sister's bedroom to wake her up from her slumber.
Slowly, Hailey opened the door leading into Bethany's room, peering inside. She awed at the sight of her sister sleeping peacefully. She looked so cute as she slept. Hailey tiptoed over to the bed with a smirk, reaching out to her. She then lightly shook the girl, placing her palm onto the mattress draped over Bethany's fragile body.
"Bethy boo..Wake up, sis.." Hailey whispered to her, seeing her sister move around a bit. Bethany shuffled around, groaning quietly. Hailey rolled her eyes, giggling. "C'mon, Beth..Breakfast is ready..Mommy is waiting for you.." Hailey shook her again, hoping she would get up.
"Go away, Hailey.." Bethany muttered out, covering her head with her blanket, clearly grumpy. Bethany wasn't exactly a morning person, and she was usually quite cranky in the mornings.
"That's a shame..Looks like Bethy doesn't want to wake up..I guess that means more pancakes with maple syrup for your brother and I then!"
Heading that, Bethany shot her eyes open and rose up from her covers hastily. "Pancakes?!" She questioned excitedly, seeing her sister nod her head in response.
"You can have some as well, but only if Bethany Austin gets up, brushes her teeth, brushes her hair, and goes downstairs to the kitchen." Hailey said, stroking her lilac locks gently.
"I'm gonna get up right now!" Bethany squealed, absolutely ecstatic. Hailey laughed as her little sister threw her blanket off her, jumping out. Bethany then ran out of her bedroom to head to the bathroom to start her daily morning routine.
"She's so cute.." Hailey murmured to herself, rubbing her palms together.
"Tiny! Pancakes!" Michael slightly shouted, getting Hailey's attention.
"Coming, Dad! Just had to wake Trouble up!" Hailey replied back, leaving the bedroom she was in before trotting down the stairs, smelling the delicate scent of the sweet pancakes with each step she took. It nearly made Hailey's mouth water. She just couldn't wait.
