Jennie's POV
"You didn't tell me that the company you will be working for is a shipping company huh. You might catch a seafarer." Jisoo teasingly said as she stopped the car in front of the shipping company's building.
"Yahhh!!! what are you talking about, I'll work here, not to hang out with them." I bluntly said before I unbuckled my seat belt.
She smiled. "Alright alright, you may go out now, I might be late for work." she responded nonchalantly signaling me to come out.
"Thank you for taking me here." I kissed her on the cheek before getting out of her car.
As i stepped inside the company and the OJT cadets immediately greeted me with their warmest smile, I smiled back at them and went straight to the elevator.
I came here yesterday for the briefing and today is my first day of work as an accounting staff.
I was nervous but I tried my best to gain my composure. I took a deep breath to reduce my nervousness as the elevator opened on the tenth floor of the building where the accounting and admin department was.
As if i wanted to melt when the gaze of the employees automatically darted on me, including some of the OJT cadets who were there.
I bowed politely tried to give them my best smile and I breathed a sigh of relief when they also smiled back at me. "God help me please." My thoughts.
I went straight to the finance manager's office because that was the instruction given to me yesterday.
The OJT in charge greeted me as he opened the door. I was welcomed by the beautiful smile of a woman in her 50's .
"good morning ma'am." I greeted her nervously as I bowed down.
"Jennie, right?" she asked softly, somehow reducing my nervousness.
"yes, Mrs. Manoban." I respond politely.
"You're beautiful." Her compliment makes me blush.
I'm aware that I'm beautiful but I'm not used to being complimented especially now that it's coming from my boss. " you may Sit down ." she added .
"Thank you ma'am." I said calmly and sat on the chair in front of her table.
"okay Jennie, it's your first day and i want you to study all these papers." she said while handing me the folder which I immediately accepted confidently without any hesitation.
" Those are the allotments balance sheet of our sailors. I want you to focus on that, if you don't understand something, don't be shy to ask me or other accounting staff. That's it for now, you can go to your table." I breathed a sigh of relief when I heard that I could leave her office, even though my first impression of her was good, I still couldn't avoid being intimidated in her presence.
"Thank you mam" I bowed and she nodded, I immediately left her office.
For the entire morning, I did nothing but focus at all the papers that Mrs. Manoban gave me because I didn't want to miss something until someone tapped me on the shoulder.
"Hi, I'm Abie ." she introduced herself warmly.
" Hi!!! I'm glad to meet you, Abie, I'm Jennie." I politely introduced myself.
