I don't want to
Build a house
I want to buy a house
And build a lifeI want to make memories
In a house
I want to fill it with miss-matched
Furniture
Bought cheap from estate sales
And piece together a life
Until it feels like a homeI want to raise a family
In a home
And watch them grow up
Safe within
The same few walks
From birth
Until graduationI want to grow old
With my husband
Hobbling up the stairs
Assisting one another
In our old age
Reminiscing on the olden days
And gazing around
The home we've built
Remembering the memories
In the places we can touchMost of all
I want to build a life
In a home
I won't have to leave
Until death do us part(10/08/22)
