"Well!" Klaus scoffs, turning to the bar as Marah and Five take a seat next to him, with Marah sitting on the bar and Five sitting in the seat next to Klaus. "That went great!"
Klaus strains as he attempts to reach for the alcohol on the other side of the bar, eventually Marah helps him by grabbing the bottle and handing it to him, Klaus mouthing a thank you as he pours out there shot glasses.
"There." Klaus hands the drinks to his brother and Marah.
"Thanks." Five and Marah thank Klaus at the same time. Marah downs her drink as does Klaus, while Five just looks at his. Klaus refills his and Marah's drinks before Five breaks the silence.
"I saw my future self die." Five states solemnly, downing his drink and passing the glass to Klaus to be refilled.
Klaus gasps, having gone through something similar that day. "That's crazy. Almost the exact same thinghappened to me. But I didn't die, but I did, but..."
"He told me not to save the world." Five says, him and Klaus overlapping each other as they speak. "And then he died."
"I don't know." Klaus continues, neither brother listening to the other as Marah just sits there listening into their weird conversation.
"What do you think he meant by that?" Five asks, both Klaus and Marah.
"Well, shouldn't you know?" Klaus retorts, only catching snip bits of what Five was saying.
"Shouldn't you know about your-- Okay." Five comments, shaking his head, he grabs his newly filled glass and holds it up, Marah and Klaus copying him.
"Well, up your ass." "Salut" "Drink up motherfuckers." Klaus, Five, and Marah all say at the same time, causing Klaus to laugh and Marah and Five to attempt to hold in smiles with how weird that conversation went.
"Klaus, I've dedicated my entire lifeto stopping the apocalypse." Five says, mainly talking to Klaus as Marah listens in.
"Apocalypses, plural." Marah comments, filling her glass once more.
"And he tells me..." Five tapers off, not finishing his sentence as he continues to think on what his older self told him.
"Mm-hmm?" Klaus responds, letting him know he's listening.
"That it's... it's, what? It's meaningless?" Five comments harshly, still trying to wrap his head around the idea.
"Oh, well, I don't know anything--" Klaus starts to answer, not realizing that it's a rhetorical question Five is asking.
"Maybe that's his way of sayingnot to become him, but..." Five sighs, running his hand through his hair, making the already messed up hair even more messed up, giving him an 'I just rolled out of bed' look.
"Oh, you're reallymessed up about this, huh?" Klaus comments, realizing how much this is messing with his brother.
"I've cheated time so much," Five starts, moving his hand to rub along Marah's thigh to focus his mind on something. "I guess I just figuredI'd somehow cheat death. But it turns out,I die a one-armed nightmare inside a bureaucratic hellscapeof my own design."
"Spoiler alert!" Klaus chuckles at his joke.
"Not to mention the trashy tattoo." Five adds, using his hand that's not on Marah's thigh to show the skin that has the tattoo on it.
"Ugh." Marah grimaces, wondering why he's carrying around skin and didn't just take a photo of it.
"Is this your skin?" Klaus asks, poking it.
"I'll be damned if I go outwith an old man tramp stamp." Five grumbles.
Klaus gasps at his idea. " If you don't wannaend up like this guy, why don't you just do somethingcompletely different? Completely different-- Move upstate, become an alpaca farmer."
"Yeah, I could. The timeline's malleable. We've proven that much." Five states, thinking about the idea. "I could try and break the cycle, but--"
"Yeah, sure." Klaus says, looking at the tattoo once more before downing the last of his drink. "Just keep your arms and extremities awayfrom sharp objects, and don't join the Mothers of Agony"
"What?" Five and Marah ask at the same time.
"The tattoo." Klaus points to the inked skin that Five laid on the table. "It's the symbol of the biker gang, the Mothers of Agony."
"You know them?" Marah asks, not even that surprised that he does know them.
"Like two timelines ago, they were...How do I put it? My farmacistas." Klaus answers, smiling towards the young girl.
"This is good." Five whispers, standing up, he helps Marah off the bar top and makes sure she's ready to go.
"'Cause you know..." Klaus starts, just as Five and Marah start to walk away.
"Thank you, Klaus." Five blinks him and Marah away to the Mother's of Agony bar.
"All right, great talk. Go get 'em, kids." Klaus says, making another drink before he goes back upstairs to his room.
Five and Marah blink in front of the bar, seeing a bunch of motorcycles around. Five in his new black suit and Marah, having changed into a white crop tank top, fishnet stockings, a plaid tennis skirt, and knee high black boots.
Marah looks around, seeing the strange and creepy looks she was receiving from a few of the patrons outside of the bar, she moves closer to Five, grabbing onto his arm.
Five wraps his arm around her waist, pulling her closer and glaring as best he can in his teenage body at the creepy men who are looking at his girl weirdly.
"What you doing here, baby?" a woman asks Five as him and Marah walk inside the building.
"Lost, kids?" a man comments, looking at Marah for a split second to long.
Five and Marah walk through the bar, earning more weird looks from all the patrons in the bar who are wondering what a couple of kids are doing in there.
Marah notices the back door, which has the symbol from the tattoo that Five's older self had. Marah taps Five on the shoulder, pointing in the direction, Five pulls Marah with him as they walk through the door, a group of men following the two kids.
A tattoo machine buzzes as a man sits in a chair as he get's his tattoo done, by none other than Pogo.
"Been looking for you." Five says, Pogo turns his machine off and turns around to see a boy who he last saw in 1963 when he was just a chimp and the daughter of his former employer standing in front of him, surrounded by a bunch of members of the Mother's of Agony.
"Well shit." Marah whispers, pulling herself closer to Five, as if she's attempting to use him as a shield.
