"What the hell is this place?" Ariel asks, checking the rounds in her pistol like you taught her.

"Madam's palace. I'm amazed we were able to get this close without being spotted," you reply, the tower that is Madam's palace more intimidating than anything you've ever seen.

Only 12 hours after the party and losing Jimin, you find yourself on the sidewalk not far from Madam's main palace. It's isolated from most of the world, but really, with a palace the size of a castle, how can that be truly isolated? Even from here you can see security monitoring the walls, but you're so far they'll assume you and Ariel are pedestrians. They're too far to make out facial features, after all.

"This plan is kind of dumb," Ariel says, eyeing the golden and white palace. "I'd rather burn the place down for looking that fucking ugly."

"I would too, but we don't have much of a choice."

She nods, you glancing at the guards again before taking Ariel's hand. "I'll find them, I promise. I'm just not sure about picking the lock on their cell. If they're in one, that is," she says.

"Tae will guide you through it, and if not, they're going to have an opening for food since they don't want to open the door to three powerful mafia men. You can slip the bobby pin inside and let Tae do it himself while you hide and look for guards."

"What if there's no opening for food?"

"Then... shit, pray Tae is good at guiding you. You can do it, okay?" She doesn't agree or disagree, so you take it as a sign to keep going. "I'll go now. Do you have your pocket knife still?"

"Always."

"Good. Remember to wait until I'm inside."

You leave her there, approaching the giant palace that casts a shadow on you. Okay, that's an exaggeration, but it feels that way. Ariel will sneak in after you're done distracting the guards. By distracting, you mean turning yourself in. It may sound dumb, but it'll give Ariel a chance to slip inside. She's small, fast, and most importantly: not noticeable. Slim and small is the best combo for this mission. Thank God you have a child on your side. You never thought you'd say those words, but here you are.

It takes a full minute of walking, but you finally approach the main entrance. Guards instantly trail their weapons on you, and you hold your hands up. They come over and take you by the arms, you knitting your brows together. "No search?"

They don't answer, they only shove you inside and push you past the front gates. After you're through them, you realize this isn't a palace: it's a damn fortress. A monumental one at that. The walls stretch out so far they're wider than your forehead, the golden arches honestly reminding you of McDonald's rather than a fancy, extravagant abode. Regardless, you're pulled inside the main building before you get a chance to 'admire' the rest of it.

The red carpets have you throwing up in your mouth, the two men tailing you keeping their hands by their holstered pistols. They very obviously can see you're armed and dangerous as well, but they aren't pointing that out. You wonder why. Why would they allow you to bring a weapon into a highly-guarded and highly-precious facility? Madam Avasa is here (you're assuming), so why are they allowing that unless they knew you were com-

Oh.

Did they predict this? No, that would be too far-fetched. What the fuck? But you don't have time to think. Merely a minute ticks by and you find yourself in front of a door with vine-like patterns engraved in the pristine surface. One guard opens the door for you, and you enter. Surprisingly, they shut the thing behind you instead of following.
