It's been a bit but now Levi has a new squad. Of course me and eren are still apart of it and now we have mikasa, armin, Sasha, Jean, historia, Connie, Evelyn, and Ashley. Ashley and Evelyn had to be here because Levi needed to watch them. They are kind of the same though but apparently they has a whole different memory. It's been a bit of a mess with the new squad. Especially with Eren too. He hasn't been doing too well with transforming into a titan.
He hasn't been able to fully transform into one. "Looks like we've got a long road ahead of us before we can use the titan hardening ability to seal the wall." Levi spoke next to me. It's true what he said. And if you're wondering how our relationship is it's somewhat complicated. We are together but not in front of others. But it was a mutual agreement.
Levi then started talking to Armin. "Do you really think he'll be able to use it?" I turned to see Ashley. Somewhat weird with her new look. I shrugged. "I'm not sure not like we know how long it'll take for him to get it." I said walking away.
Ashley and Evelyn for some reason have been more clingy to me then they were before this. The others have been distant with them. Can't blame them they're different now and definitely something not human. Makes me wonder if me and them are alike. Levi told me that Ashley definitely is the missing commander. She has all the memories and talked about all the expedition she led. There was no mistake but for now they're having her on watch just incase.
~time skip
It's been two days and hanji came with some shocking news well for the others. "Pastor nick is dead. He was murdered. This morning in the trost district I saw it but the military police played it like it was a robbery. I had him hid since I thought the church would want him after finding out he was talking to us but to think they used soldiers. I was too careless. It's my fault."
Well that was some information. "Did the Military police torture him to find out the information he told us." Armin asked. "Seems so. But it was the interior Military police so it means something's more behind it." Levi spoke. "So how many nails were ripped off?" He turned to Hanji. 
"You saw, right? How many?" Levi repeated. "I only caught a glimpse of him, but all the nails that I could see." Hanji answered. "People that talk, talk after one. If they don't, peeling more with make a difference. Pastor Nick I thought he was an idiot, but he didn't turn away from what he believed, all the way till the end. In other words, they have no idea we've caught wind of the Reiss family. Though, someone in the government is up to no good, and their eyes are fixed on us." As soon as Levi stopped talking a girl walked in.
"A message from commander Erwin." She hand Levi a paper. "I went to tell him about Pastor Nick, but he sent me off with this." Levi's eyes furrowed. "Everyone, our. We leave now. Leave no trace we were here." We all got up and quickly gathered our stuff and left. They're after us. As soon as we got up to the mountains they were there. "If we hadn't left right then, what would've happened to us?" Connie worried.
"But why? What would make commander Erwin?" Armin wondered. "New orders came from the government. There's been a freeze on all scout regiment activity outside the wall. They're telling us to hand over Eren, Historia, and (Y/n)." I sighed at Levi. Of course they wanted Eren and Historia. "By the way, right after he gave me the message the military police got him." The girl from before said.
"That's treating him like some sort of criminal!" Hanji spoke. "Someone not working from the shadows anymore. They're moving for all eyes to see." "To go that far to protect the walls secrets. What's more, why do they want us to hand over Eren, Historia, and (Y/n)? Not to kill but for them to obtain." Levi shrugged at Hanji. "Anyways, it's clear the enemy is after these three. Loitering around here is dangerous. We'll move them to Trost district." My head perked up. 
"That's the same place pastor Nick was killed." Moblit spoke. "It's worse to head towards the interior. With Trost in a panic, it should be easy to slip in. And if somehow it comes down to it, we can use these in the city." Levi motioned to his gun. "Plus, not knowing the enemy puts us in a tough spot. We need to find out who's behind this. Hanji, lend me some of your squad." Hanji nodded. 
"I'm going after Erwin. Moblits with me. The rest of you will follow Levi." Hanji went to her horse but Eren walked up to her giving her a piece of paper. "I remembered a conversation between Ymir and Bertholdt." She nodded taking the paper and getting on her horse then left. We left as well.
The plan was simple. Jean, Armin, and Evelyn would disguise as Eren, Historia, and me so they could lure out the enemy. I felt bad putting them in danger like this but it's what we had to do. And they'll be safe. Well they won't be dead that's for sure. 
It wasn't until when a gun shot alerted us. "What was that?!" Eren questioned. "Just stay down. They shouldn't know we're in here." I spoke in a hushed tone. But then the sound of ODM gear got my attention. "Get down." I pushed their heads down as our cover got pulled off. I went to grab the gun but Historia got shot with something. I had to do shoot this person. As soon as I went to turn my whole vision went to black. I hope the others will be ok.
A/n: so I may have accidentally left this book alone for awhile :,). I just want to say how sorry I am for not uploading at all. I swore it wasn't that long from the last chapter but it's been since July of 2022 that I last uploaded a chapter. I just want to say sorry. And I can't believe that this book hit 2k reads after all that. Thank you for reading this book. And I will try to keep uploading more frequently.
