"here's your food.", i say, placing down four burgers in front of the boys.
"thanks.", liam says.
before i can walk away he calls my name and i turn back around.
"hey nini have you met ricky?", liam asks and i slowly shake my head.
i look to the boy i don't recognize much, sitting on the inner corner of the booth next to ej. he's the one with curly brunette hair.
i slightly smile at him, "nice to meet you..i'm nini."
he nods his head, "ricky. hey aren't you in my ap stats class?"
i clear my throat, my brain finally putting the pieces together, "oh yeah...i think so. you're the one who's really good at stats."
he chuckles a little, shrugging his shoulders. i look away from him and at the whole table.
"let me know if you guys need anything else.", i tell them and walk away to behind the counter.
"those boys are drooling over you.", grace says.
i shake my head, "and i couldn't care less."
she chuckles at me, grabbing a milkshake and walking towards a table. i stand behind the counter, leaning against it while i just look over all my tables.
i get stuck looking at the boys, specifically the one i just met. they're all goofing off as they eat and then ricky looks up at me. our eyes make contact for a split second before i turn away and walk into the break room. i grab my phone from my pocket and begin texting gina.

i put my phone back into my pocket and exit the break room, heading over to the table where the four boys are.
i begin to pick up their dirty plates, "any dessert?"
i look at all of them as they shake their heads.
"okay you all can pay at the counter.", i tell them, walking away with the tray of dishes.
i dump them into the sink before coming to the register where they're waiting. liam hands me his card, paying for him and his brother before ej pays and then finally the curly haired brunette steps up.
he checks behind himself at his friends who are talking and not paying attention. he hands me cash that's well over the amount he owes.
i clear my throat, "let me get change—"
"don't worry about it.", he interrupts, "keep the change."
i widen my eyes, "wow uh- thank you. have a good day!"
he nods his head, smiling at me as he turns around and walks out with his friends. i fan the money out in my hand counting the amount.
"he definitely likes you.", grace smirks, leaning on the counter in front of me.
