"And who is this El?" the boy with brunette wavy hair said. "This is my new neighbor, his name is Ash" Ej said with a smile on her face. I can tell they're a tight group. I mean Elara is nice I guess but I didn't really want a lot of friends. Quality over Quantity you know.
"Well very nice to meet you Ash" the other girl said. "Oh right Ash that's Val, Rylan, and Kingsley and Reily isn't here yet!" Elara exclaimed with an overwhelming amount of excitement. I just waved and gave my best non awkward smiled. I can tell how awkward I looked though. I didn't plan on meeting so many people in one day.
"Um we should go out El we can't do another movie night we did that last time we all hung out." Valerie said breaking the very awkward tension in the room. "We should go to that park." Kingsley said, agreeing with his girlfriend.
"Oo yea we should," Ej continued "Ash come with us" 
"I think I'm actually gonna head home."
"Why" 
"Because Ej I'm tired"
"Fine fine, I'll walk you out come on." She said taking me hand dragging me out her room and down the stairs. "I'll text you in the morning." I said about to walk out the door but I heard footsteps behind me. I turned seeing Leo.
 "You leaving Ash"
 "Yea buddy sorry I'm tired." He hugged me and ran back to his dad. "Bye Mr. Marino" I said waving.
"Bye Ash" he said as he waved back.
"BYE ASH" Enzo yelled from his room. I could hear Aurora's voice in sync with her boyfriends. I walked out the front door after saying bye to Enzo and walked back to my house. Soon after I saw Ej and her friends start walking to the park.
1 hour later
"Lexi tell Fez I'm going to the park I need some air." They came back from their shopping spree, well Lexi's shopping spree, not too long ago. 
"Okay be careful Ash."
"I know Lex." I walked out the door shutting it behind me. As I got closer to the park I heard Ej's laugh. I could tell it's her. I didn't think they'd still be there. But I wasn't going to go home I wanted to smoke without bothering Lexi since she's been getting light headed a lot. I have more respect for Lex now I understand why she wanted Fez and I to stop dealing. Me and Fez still smoke but we go outside so we don't bother her as much, even though she is literally best friends with Rue. But she only wants what's best for us and I get that now. I guess.
I walked through that park gate and saw them on the playground. I walked over to the bench, far from them,  joint already rolled in my hand.

I was catching up with Kingsley, that's when I smelled weed. I don't care to much about people smoking it's what used to follow that bothers me. I knew exactly who it was because he always comes here to smoke from what I've seen.
"You smell it too huh?" Kingsley said laying down with his arms behind his head looking at the stars in the sky. Rylan and Reily were laughing hysterically along with Valerie. I couldn't tell you what they were laughing about though. "Yeah." I replied.
"I know why you hate it you know."
"Kings I don't hate and don't start."
"You hate what follows I know. It's cause of your mom and how she was." He said knowingly, I know he's only looking out for me but this isn't the time or place. "Kingsley really,  bro come on not here." I said getting up to go to Rylan, Rei and Val. 
"You okay." Val asked very easily telling I was annoyed. "Yea I'm fine your boyfriend pissed me off again." I said laughing a little bit. I looked over at Ash, his eyes on mine already, he broke the eye contact to look up and blow the smoke out then looking back at me. I smiled gently at him. He looked tired still but I guess he couldn't relax. 
"He want you El," Rylan said "and if you don't want him I'll gladly take him." he continued. Val bursted out laughing which made me laugh. Kingsley came over after a few seconds and hugged Val.
"What's up guys," Kings continued "by the way E I'm sorry I know I shouldn't have brought her up."
"It's okay Kings I know you just want to make sure I'm okay." I said smiling.
"Okay mr hot stoner boy with face tats keeps looking at you" Rylan spoke. "So for the love of god go talk to him" Reily continued making us all laugh. 
"Fine fine I'll go talk to him even though he's actually looking because you guys are extremely loud." I said raising my eyebrows at my friends.

I saw her walking over to me, I couldn't tell if i was happy or not though. She's a good person. Seems like she's gonna be a good friend. But I'm not very good at making friends. This is very weird. I miss living in East Highland where I know people. 
"Hey Ash." she said sitting next to me. Her back on the railing. Her head resting on her knees facing me.
"Hey Ej," I continued, "I didn't think you'd guys would still be out here."
"I figured but you know since your here you should hangout with us I know you said you didn't-". I cut her off before she could finish. "Sure Ej if it makes you happy I'll give your friends a shot" she smiled instantly. 
She has a beautiful smile.
"Okay okay good but put that out first" she said point at the joint in my hand. "Wha-"
"Ash you heard me."
"Fine" I put it out even though I wanted to finish it. I barely even felt high. But I guess I looked high enough to her. "Now come on." Ej pulled my wrist, making me stand up. We walked over to her friends and we sat down with them.
"Well hello again Ash." Rylan said. "Hi." it came out meaner then what I meant, Ej elbowed me slightly. "Ow" I said under my breath. I obviously didn't mean to sound like an asshole.
"Okay what should we do now." Val said

"Wanna walk into town we could get ice cream and you guys could get to know Ash." I said. I wanted Ash to feel welcomed into the friend group. "Alright I'm done, I need to see town anyways." Ash said, I was surprised he agreed so quickly this time. Everyone else agreed as well.
"Okay let's go." I said smiling at everyone getting up quickly.
