"I'll be right there, I left my hat on stage."

I threw myself against the back wall, slipping past racks and rails of costumes and outfits meticulously labelled with a member's name and the number the costume was for.

I had seen them wheeling these in earlier in the day, and once BTS were done they'd be brought back to whichever floor of the HYBE building they were usually kept them in.

A sliver of light illuminated the space as somebody stepped inside. I didn't need to look hard under the dim glow of a red fire alarm light in the ceiling to know that Jungkook had followed me.

I cursed under my breath. Yes, Y/N, excellent idea, enter a dark confined space after making direct eye contact with your client who you made out with on a recent business trip.

There was no hiding, not when he had already made it most of the way through the cupboard. So I decided to face him head-on. I could handle it. I could handle him.

"Hello Jungkook-nim."

He chuckled and placed his water bottle on a nearby shoebox. In the red glow I could see how his hair was stuck to the sides of his face, and starting to curl as the sweat dried.

"Aren't we closer than that, Y/N-ssi?"

I swallowed.

"Maybe we shouldn't be."

"I think we're pretty close right now," He stopped just in front of me, pulling the towel from around his neck to wring it in his hands. He looked down at it, a huge smile lighting up his face. "You don't text, you don't call...I thought you might have stayed in London forever. But here you are."

He took one glance around the tiny space before letting his eyes settle on me. My heart skipped a beat.

"I've been busy sorting out all your..."

"I missed you," He interrupted me, leaning down to make his eyes level with mine. A bead of sweat tracked down the side of his face - I watched it slide down his jaw, his neck, and drop off his Adam's apple.

My gaze went hazy as he leaned in to whisper in my ear.

"I can't stop thinking about you."

I leant my head back against the wall, trying to keep my breathing even.

"You should go. They'll have noticed that you're missing."

"Don't change the subject. Unless you're no longer...interested?" He paused for a moment, pulling back ever so slightly to see my reaction.

I tried to arrange my face into an expression that said 'no, I don't, so please leave me alone Jeon Jungkook'.

Realising that wasn't going to communicate particularly well in semi-darkness, I opened my mouth...like an idiot.

"I can't stop thinking about you, either. And that's the problem. We're not...what are you doing?" I breathed as he reached one hand for my waist. The other tucked the towel into his back pocket before mirroring its twin on the other side of my body.

"Tell me what...exactly...you were thinking about."

"That's not the point I'm trying to make..."

"Why do you keep pushing me away?" He nuzzled and smirked against the delicate skin of my neck. Time stopped. My mouth went dry.

"Because I'm your agent, Jungkook!" I hissed, barely able to keep my voice level. "I can't be like this with you, no matter...no matter how much I may want to."

His fingertips squeezed my body as he started peppering small kisses all over my neck and collarbones. He murmured between each peck, sending vibrations through my bones and straight to my core.
