"Have you been smoking?" Valentina questioned the girl, the smell hitting her the second she walked into the apartment. 
"No."
"Oh and that's why your apartment reeks of weed?" she furrowed. "Cause you haven't been smoking.. right. Who'd you get it from or did you go out and buy it?"
"Fine. Carter," Adalyn shrugged while she turned away from her friend, looking back at her as she heard her stop in her tracks. "What? I didn't suck his dick like he wanted, I just paid him. Oh my god don't think so poorly of me."
"And you've been drinking? Adalyn, why? It's barely one-pm."
"Just stop caring about me so much, I'm fine," she slightly raised her voice, continuing to speak in slight slurs. "Let's just go record this fucking podcast so I can go sleep."
"okay.."
The pair made their way down to the room in which they turned into their podcast studio, getting everything set up and checking it was all working properly before pressing record and sitting down on the lounge. 
Valentina glanced over at the younger as she started coughing. "Are you okay?" she asked after she had stopped. 
"Yes. Just start it."
"okay then.." she turned her attention to the camera. "um Welcome back! I don't know what episode we're up to.. But before we get into today's, Adalyn is under the influence so whatever she says today is probably not thought through properly.."
"Good now I can talk shit," Adalyn begun to ramble. "Jack's ex-girlfriend is a fucking bitch. Starting all these fucking rumours about me and him because she can't keep one fucking thing off the internet. And now my boyfriend's mad at me."
"Jack never 'sent me there', I fucking choose to go there without him knowing, I paid for the flights and I told her that he didn't know I was there. And second, I never 'abused her', I never fucking touched her. So I wouldn't be surprised if all the other bullshit that comes out of her mouth was lies as well."
"I'm gonna get all that cut out.." Valentina slightly mumbled under her breath. 
"Fine but leave this in because people are gonna keep saying shit if I dont say anything to defend myself and my boyfriend," Adalyn flicked her head towards the other. "And I'm not even that high or drunk so I'm speaking realistically.."
"I went to get Jack's daughter to surprise him, I just wanted to do something nice for him and also wanted to distract myself. So I flew myself there, to Hawaii, without him knowing.. And I spoke with his ex, I said I'll bring their daughter back to her house, I'll pay for everything, she wouldn't have had to worry about anything."
"I will admit, I may have raised my voice and said somethings I shouldn't have cause I was frustrated that things weren't going my way and I had other personal stuff going on so I wasn't very happy. But besides that I was quite respectful."
"I left her house when she asked me to- there was a moment when I was holding daughter cause the little girl wanted me to, where I thought about just leaving and walking away with her but that is not something I would ever do and instead I handed her back to her mother when she wanted her."
"Anyway.." Adalyn concluded, "I think the whole situation just got blown out of proportion and shouldn't have been brought online. And if I realised beforehand that I was getting Lavender next week I wouldn't went the other day, I thought that was still like a month away.."
"wow.. I don't think I've ever heard you like apologise for something," Valentina replied in slight shock, letting out a small awkward laugh. "I guess apologise is the right word for this situation, I don't know, I've never seen you be so genuine when talking."
"Well I'm the seconds side of the story and I'm not gonna let her get away with spreading lies about me," she shrugged. 
"Anyway, you wanna just get right into questions this week?" she asked. 
"nah talk about your week, how was that?"
"Worked a lot," she slowly nodded, while trying to think about what else she got up to. "I didn't really do much- oh I cried to my boyfriend a couple days ago."
"Why?"
"I just.. stuff, you know."
"Spill."
"I.. um my period was like five day late and usually it's only ever been like three max so I was like kinda freaking out, anyway I took a test while I was with him and yeah.. I'm not pregnant, yay, thank god," Valentina explained. 
"Aren't you on birth control?" the younger furrowed. 
"I had an iud and it was fine for like almost two years but I had it taken out like a month ago cause I started getting like bad headaches and shit so we were seeing if that was the problem or my medication I've recently got put on.. and we came to the conclusion that it was the combination of both."
"So I'm trying a new brand of the pill although all the rest just didn't work with my body, although it's actually been okay so far," she continued. "And my boyfriend uses protection like every time but there was one moment a couple weeks ago so I wanted to rule that out."
"mh.."
"But once again, I'm not pregnant, I am on my period right now," she added. "You wanna talk about said topics in your life? I've seen people ask about all that, I think for like suggestions, I don't know, everyone listening.. talk to your doctors, everyone's bodies are different and reacts differently so don't take what we do as advice."
"um no thanks," Adalyn chuckled. "No matter what I say right now people are gonna start assuming shit."
"Fair," she nodded. "You wanna get into questions now then?"
"Sure."
Valentina grabbed her phone, scrolling through as she glanced over what everyone had been asking. "A lot of people want to know if your boyfriend's okay.." she looked over at her.
"What do you mean?"
"Something about him being quiet and seeming off at their show the other night," Valentina explained, reading over a few more. "They're saying that the shows from the Hawaii situation till the Daniel's birthday, he seemed alright but Sunday's show he wasn't really talking with the other boys while on stage.."
"oh?" Adalyn furrowed. "I don't know, I'm still pissed off at him so I haven't talked to him since like Thursday or whatever day I went to Hawaii."
"You should probably talk to him.."
"nope fuck him, he was being a dickhead to me," she replied as she picked up her own phone.
"Jack might have just been having a down day, everyone has them.." she reassured everyone. "Anyway, next question.."
As Valentina continued to find questions for them, and mostly being the only one answering while Adalyn was quite distracted by her phone, reading over texts from her boyfriend, replying to him in the simplest ways as she still wasn't very happy with him. Just patiently waiting for the episode to wrap up so she could finally get some sleep.
