Stopping the car at the venue, Vijay opened my side of the door. I came to Mythili's side and opened the door and extended my hand for her.
Placing her hand in mine she came out. Holding her by her waist we walked to the entrance.
The hall was beautifully decorated with the flowers that's in theme with the perfume to be launched today.
Bouquets of lavender and orchid mixed with white roses were placed in glass vases on the round tables. The table clothes, curtains everything is in white and light purple colour running in a theme.
The party hall looked elegant. We had conducted many parties and events. All those were beautiful but this one seemed elegant.
"Wow. Amazing !" I appreciated "you did really a great job love" "Thanks.! That was a team effort though." She said not taking the credit. How can she be so humble! "Of course." I scoffed.
Abhinav came to us smirking. Next to him was Rohan. I groaned internally. "You finally decided to show her to the world then?" He teased. I just rolled my eyes not bothering to give a reply.
"You look beautiful milady" he said bowing a little and kissing her hand. What the fuck.
Ignoring my glare he introduced himself. "I am Abhinav btw. This gloomy fellow's best friend." He said.
"Hey gorgeous, I am Rohan. Sadly I am his best friend too." Rohan cut in taking her hand from Abhinav and kissing the back of the palm.
They really are trying to rile me up and are succeeding.
"I am Mythili. You both look handsome too" she said smiling. "Why thank you.!" Both of them said bowing down making her laugh at their antics.
"That's enough flirting with my girl. Go and meet your business partners." I said pulling her to my side and walking away. They laughed and went to meet some people.
MYTHILI:
"It's an honor to invite the Ceo of Fragrance's in the Air to come and launch the most awaited product of the year." The host announced.
He stood up, adjusting his coat, he walked gracefully onto the stage.
The event was open for few of the common people other than business delegates. So there's little more crowd than usual, all excited to see the CEO of the most famous company, entire hall echoing with the appreciation for his presence as he stood on the stage.
"Thank you everyone. I was more excited for this event along with you guys."
"Lavendar and orchids as you could see everywhere around here, are my favourite flowers." He said.
I was surprised by the info, I never knew he had fav flowers! "Yea men can also have fav flowers guys, there's nothing wrong in that" he said winking. Everyone chuckled listening to him.
"Lavendar symbolise purity, devotion, grace where as Orchids symbolise love, beauty and elegance."
"I wanted these two characters to be in a perfume. Thanks for the production team, they managed to infuse them into the fragrance."
"Now, I have always searched for a person with these qualities. Beautiful, pure, down to earth, charming personality. And finally I found a women who has all these qualities. She is so endearing and down to earth person I ever know. Gives all the credit to the fellow people, silently helping them in the background, never in the lime light. Most people doesn't even know that she is the one that helped them." He said looking at me.
"She is also an angry bird mind you. Should never cross her in a wrong way. Or you are dead." He said chuckling. Breath caught in my throat. Butterflies erupted in my stomach. I felt jittery and nervous. The hall was waiting for him to continue with a batted breathe.
"I dedicate this perfume to the love of my life Ms. Mythili, my PA." Murmurs started among the crowd. "It will be my pleasure to invite her on to the stage and launch the perfume."
I was too shocked to react. "Mythi go." Shalu who is sitting next to me shook my hand.
That's when I came out of my shock. Everyone is clapping, cheering, whistling. All paparazzi is trying to take my photos. This time I looked properly into Arjun's face. He is smiling and his eyes are glowing with happiness. 'Come on' he mouthed.
"Come I will walk you to the stage" Abhinav said extending his hand to me. I was greatful for the support Abhi offered. Placing my hand on his extended one I stood up.
"What the hell did he do?!" I whispered to Abhi. Chuckling he said "he is madly in love with you. That's the only explanation."
Though I was freaking out inside I tried to be calm. Arjun came to the top step and extended his hand to me.
A girl came and gave a hand mike to me. Alarmed I saw Arjun. He gestured to take the mike. I sighed and took the mike.
"Thank you everyone. I didn't expect him to be this impulsive. It's a shock to me as much as it's to you guys. He is praising me because he loves me. I am not that great. He is just exggarating." I said blushing a little.
"Told ya.! Do you guys know she is the one that came up with this name for the perfume. But she won't accept it." He said.
"Oh no no no, that's a team effort. I am just a member in that. If we let him speak he will not stop praising me which is most of it is exggarating. So I will just launch the perfume." I said. Audience chuckled listening to me.
A girl came with a plate covered with a purple satin cloth. There is a remote control on the plate. Thanking her I took the remote and clicked the button and moved to the side of the stage. Arjun pulled me to him placing a hand on my waist. Leaning a little into him we watched the screen.
