Three Weeks Later...
Saphira sat on a med berth as Ratchet finished scanning her body as he kept track of her healing progress. Saphira was surprised by how quickly she was healing, but she was extremely happy that she wasn't laying in bed. So he has been out of bed for a week and a half. Though Saphira was currently sleeping on Optimus's chassis now, he has been insisting it and Saphira was surprised that Ratchet has even allowed it. Saphira was now simply working on getting her strength back, but she was taking it easy.
When Optimus told her that Bee figured out that they were in a relationship and that he approved of it, Saphira was quite surprised and happy at the same time. She hadn't really thought about whether the other bots would work it out or not. She knew that the last month has probably seen Optimus's behavior be very different. She didn't know if Bulkhead and Arcee knew, but she also didn't know if the children were suspicious either.
"Good news, Saphira," Ratchet said with a smile as Saphira was pulled from her thoughts. "Your injuries have almost completely healed. The wounds to your back have healed, your shoulder has healed and your ribs should properly heal within another month." His optics met her eyes and Saphira smiled back at him. "I'm very relieved you have healed quickly."
"Me too. I'm not sure what you've managed to do, but I thought I would be in here for months." Saphira still thought Ratchet had given her something to make her heal faster, she wasn't aware yet it was her proximity to Optimus's chassis that was actually causing her to heal faster. "I bet it has been nice for the autobots to go through the ground bridge without worrying about me as much."
Ratchet nodded with a smile. "It sure has. I've actually be playing with changing the frequencies on the satellite scans just see what I can find. So far, nothing, but I might be able to find something out there that we haven't discovered before."
Saphira smiled as she was glad Ratchet didn't have to worry about her at the moment. "That sounds kind of interesting. Do you think maybe you could find the decepticon ship simply by doing that?"
"Maybe. It is worth a try anyway." Ratchet intakes heavily and held his hand out to Saphira. "We are done for today. Just make sure to keep eating, drinking and working on small exercises to get your strength back up."
Saphira carefully stepped into Ratchet's hand, she has found herself being extra careful for fearing her body could break anytime. "Since I no longer need to go to school, doing that is quite easy." Ratchet carried her out of the med bay to the lobby. "Still, I might hang around in the lobby a little bit today. I miss having company."
Saphira had been sticking to her room for the last week, simply because she felt the need to try gather her thoughts together. She had eventually remembered what happened at the incident through a nightmare one night. When she told Optimus and Ratchet what her nightmare was as about, they were horrified to get the gruesome details that they didn't know. And because of that, Saphira needed to gather her thoughts. Especially as thoughts like 'I'm just a burden' and 'My only worth is dying' has been in her mind.
However, sleeping with Optimus had become the best thing for her mental health. He never stopped telling her how loved she was, and how brave she had been. It was just things she needed to hear. And she was extremely grateful for it. Saphira felt she might not ever be able to sleep on her own again.
As Ratchet entered the lobby, Saphira smiled as she saw Miko and Raf playing the racing game while Jack was speaking to Arcee. Apparently the same day as the incident Saphira faced, they faced down Arcee's old enemy. When Saphira's was told who she was, Saphira hoped to never meet her. Airachnid sounded creepy enough even without seeing her.
