Hot Shot X Mech Bull Predacon Reader: New Friends

Hot Shot meets a bull Predacon who only wants a friend. He brings the predacon to the base, where Optimus allows the bull to stay. 

Hot Shot walks through the woods, hoping to stop thinking about the war for a while. He finds a path of down trees, but humans didn't cut these trees down. These trees look like an animal rammed them down.
"I didn't think there was an animal that can do this living around here," Hot Shot says to himself. 
He continues down the path, wanting to find the animal ramming into the trees. He is confident that it's not a con or that he's walking into a trap. 

Hot Shot didn't think he'd find a bull. He remembers that Earth's bulls hate the color red. Hot Shot watches the bull transform. Hot Shot knew this was a Predacon, but which side of the war are they on? 
"My name is (Y/D)," the bull introduces. 
By the predacon's frame, Hot Shot knew this is a mech, "my ship crashed on this planet, and it's destroyed." 
Hot Shot knows the risk of allowing (Y/D) back to the base, but if he's on the Autobots' side or a neutral, he would be turning his back on a cybertronian in need. 
The problem is Hot Shot can't contact base at this location. 
"The Autobot base is a two-hour walk from here," Hot Shot informs (Y/D), who doesn't mind. 


(Y/D) knows that Hot Shot is not fully trusting him, and there's not much he can do to prove he's not looking to attack the Autobots. He knows the only way to obey any rules is if he's even allowed to stay at the Autobot base. Hoping he's not tossed in a cell. 


Hot Shot and (Y/D) talk while walking back to the base. Hot Shot didn't think (Y/D) would be as open as he is. Finding out that he's neutral, but he'll help the Autobots protect the mini-cons. All (Y/D) wants is friends after his friends were killed in the war. 
Hot Shot ends up talking about losing his friend, Wheeljack. 


The Autobots and kids question why Hot Shot returned with a bull. The confusion turns to concern as they realize the bull is a Predacon. Hot Shot quickly defends (Y/D), believing he will not betray the Autobots. (Y/D) tells the others what he told Hot Shot. 
"He can stay," Optimus declares, "he's your responsibility, Hot Shot." 
"Thank you, sir," (Y/D) thanks Optimus. 
(Y/D) doesn't know what to do even after the leader of the Autobots showed trust in him. 
Even after Hot Shot was betrayed, he still trusts him. (Y/D) doesn't know how to prove to the others that he will not betray them. 
"It'll take time," Hot Shot tells him, "but I trust you." 
Hot Shot knows for a while, and he'll have to encourage the others to spend time with (Y/D). For now, he believes the two should spend time together. 
Hopefully, the others will see that (Y/D) isn't a threat. Hot Shot hopes. 
As the weeks pass, Hot Shot and (Y/D) become close friends.  (Y/D) feels like they have a new home and a friend. 
"Hey, guys, can I join you?" Carlos asks, seeing the two playing video games. 
"Sure, the computer is programmed to recognize Earth controllers," Hot Shot explains
Soon Billy and Fred want to join the three in playing video games.  Optimus watches how they trust (Y/D). Hoping the others will believe that (Y/D) is truly neutral and he has no intention of betraying the Autobots. 
"You sure you want to let him stay?" Scavenger asks, displeased.
"I know the risks, but Hot Shot has been betrayed before. He is choosing to trust (Y/D), and we will do the same," Optimus argues.
"Thank you, Hot Shot. I know most of the others don't trust me, and maybe the three humans still don't trust me, but I know you do." 
"I know it'll take time, but you're my friend, and I will help you befriend everyone." 
"I will not tolerate any harassment towards you," Optimus adds, "I understand you want to be neutral in the war, but please help us protect the mini-cons and our human friends?" 
"I will, sir," (Y/D) promises. 
(Y/D) hopes to do all he can to gain everyone's trust while hoping to stay out of the war.
