Shota had a boring night.
Shibito had not returned home. The cats reassured him that's the man was okay, just wrapped up in some pretty long meetings with the Hokage.
Shota had gotten some leftovers for dinner and went to sleep surrounded by cats of all sizes.
The morning was pretty rushed. Shibito came back at sun rise only to quickly rush around the house, hurrying to get Shota ready for the day.
"You said you wanted to be a medical-nin a couple of days ago and I've managed to find a good teacher for you, though they were sceptical at first...come on we have to be there in ten minutes."
Shota got dressed in his gear and packed a small bag with some food and books in it.
Shibito held the boy in his arms as they raced over to the hospital. The square building wasn't too far from their house. Sitting in between them and the Hokage's building, only a couple of streets away from the Academy.
The man spoke up as the walked briskly through the semi crowed street. "The plants in our garden are growing wild, the team and I are handling them so worry about it. The Hokage has even chipped in to help us grey rid of the overgrown ones." He had a small smile on his face that Shota could tell was very fake.
Oh my god he's talking like a secret agent! That's so cool! Plants must mean ROOT.
At least we don't have to think about dealing with them anymore.
I have like, three?, back up plans. But it'll be fineee...
Why does he think they are getting out of hand now?
...that sneaky mother fucker. Danzo must have ordered the attack on Sakumo, the attack that Shibito stopped from happening properly.
Why would he go after Sakumo-san?
Danzo wants to be the Hokage...Sakumo is the bast candidate if the third dies. He's powerful and a hero of the village. Danzo was probably trying to get rid of him. So he can be lord third's 'first choice'.
Hm...if he did so that then it explains why Shibito had decided to act. It shows how good of an ANBU he is to have figured this all out out and gotten his team to act on it.
Shota stared ahead as well. "That's very nice if him. Now we don't have to worry about Mono and the other cats eating them. Though I think they would have enjoyed it."

Shibito chuckled as he put Shota down in front of the doors of the hospital. A young man sat at the desk near the front talking to an older woman who had a wrapped up wrist. They waited till the woman left to approach.
