A few days have passed since that day, the day of the figure and the note appearing out of no where then disappearing but the image never left my head.

I couldn't sleep, my curiosity was nagging at me to find out who that was.

I spent most nights now looking out the window in hopes to see this peculiar entity but they never came. The person with no features captivated me, I'd often find myself drawing them.

A part of me still thinks I was dreaming but another part of me knows that's a lie.

The only thing keeping me from going crazy about this is the fact that it-No...He was real.

My [e/c] eyes shifted from the window of my room, the trees now changing color for the new season, to my open laptop on my desk.

A page open, Folklore, about a tall man in the forest, years ago stealing children away, do not attempt to stop him, for you will be his next victim.

How do you know you're next? He leaves a note, a drawing it can be 1 or it can be 10. That is up to you.

I felt my skin grow cold, remembering what I had read, surely he wasn't real. He couldn't be, he shouldn't be.

But he was and I was his next victim, He was toying with me like the prey I am. He knew I saw, He knew I would know, so why?

Why me?

My thoughts were nothing but why and how. Questions to never be answered.

A flock of birds escaped into the now night sky, which caught my eye.

My heart pounding as my eyes once again scanned outside. Till [e/c] eyes met with...um blank ones. My throat closed up and I felt like I couldn't breathe.

The moment I was waiting for.

He was back.

"The slender man" I whispered, feeling like my heart could rip out of my chest at any minute. Almost like he heard me, a long lanky arm lifted from his side, pointing a gloved finger my way.

The same feeling of dizziness came back to me, only worse this time. I clutched a hand to my head, small beads of sweat forming above my brows.

He took a step forward and I felt it get stronger, my vision started to go dark.

Now with both my hands clutching my head, I wanted to rip out my [h/c] hair. He didn't stop.

Now backing away from the window, I felt fear in every bone in my body.

I'm going to die.'  I thought as I started to black out, not before seeing a black tentacle reach my window.

It faded into darkness...
