"Thanks for grabbing lunch with me. It was fun." Andy smiled when he dropped me off at my apartment.
"Thanks for the invite, I'll have to agree. Have fun editing for Kian and Jc." He rolls his eyes when I step out of the car.
We share our goodbyes and he pulls off. I walk up to the apartment, excited to have some alone time.
I walk inside and close the door. As I went around the corner to go to my room, I almost shit myself.
I screamed when I saw Colby sitting on the couch, waiting for me. As I calmed down on the couch, I remember the past two weeks of silence.
"I'm not talking to you." I tell him sternly. I could see a hint of sadness on his face.
"Kylie, will you please let me explain?" He asked while following me over to my room.
I sat my purse down by my dresser and went over to my reading chair.
"No. How'd you even get in here? The door was locked." Heather's at work at the boutique.
"We've been friends for three years, I know where you hide your key." I give him a stern look while sitting down.
I didn't feel like dealing with some sort of excuse. "Oh really? Last time I checked friends don't shut each other out for two weeks."
I could tell my words hurt him a little bit as I said that, as it should.
"I deserve it, I know. Can I please explain?" He begged. When I can't read his face, I look up at his ocean eyes.
There was sadness in his eyes. I sigh while nodding my head, signaling that he could explain it to me.
"First of all, I'm so sorry for shutting you out for two weeks. I just had to get in the right headspace." He starts out.
He walks over and sits down on my bed. "You're literally my best friend, Kylie. I was drunk and stupid." He remembers back.
"I just freaked out and needed to get away for a little bit and took it out on you." I looked into his ocean blue eyes again.
They were full of sadness. "I'm so sorry." I got off the chair and went over to the bed.
I sat next to him, resting my head on his shoulder. Colby's my best friend.
I hated not having him in my life for those two weeks.
"Just promise you'll never do that shit again." I tease a little bit. He laughs a little bit which was a good sign.
"I promise, that two weeks was awful without you." I knew there was truth behind his jokes.
We got comfortable on the bed. We sat there, explaining everything we missed these past two weeks.
It honestly feels like I didn't miss anytime with him. I lost count of how long we were sitting there for.
That was until I heard the front door close. "Kylie! I want Chinese." She yelled when she walked in.
I could hear her footsteps come closer to the door meaning that she was walking to my room.
Her face dropped of surprise whenever she walked in and saw Colby. She looked in between us for a moment.
"Did you two finally make up?" She smiled a little bit. I giggle a little bit and nodded my head.
"Yeah, we made up." It felt good saying that. She genuinely smiled towards us.
I look at Colby to see him smiling a little bit. "So, did you guys want Chinese?" She asked like nothing happened.
"Chinese does sound pretty good." Colby admitted. I sigh knowing it really did.
I agreed too making Heather smile. "I'll invite Harrison and see if he wants some too. Text me your order." She walked away.
Once Colby and I figured out our order, I sent it to her. "You wanna watch a movie or something?" I ask Colby.
He nodded his head so I reached for my remote. I turned it on and started scrolling through Netflix.
"I'm in the horror movie mood." I tell him honestly. He started laughing a little towards me.
"It's almost April." He laughed. I just shrugged while looking through the horror section.
"What about the Texas Chainsaw Massacre?" I question.
He looks at me like I was stupid. "You really wanna watch that while we're eating?" He did have a point.
We decided to watch Countdown since we haven't seen it. We had the lights turned off while we laid there under the covers.
It really felt like no time has passed between us. I just feel like I have a soft spot for him.
And plus, after everything that happened with Corey La Barrie, I don't want to hold any grudges.
If we weren't on speaking terms and something happened to Colby, I would never forgive myself.
I think that's why I forgave him so easily. Colby and I would make slight commentary during the movie and it was really fun.
We stopped it halfway through so we could get our food from Harrison.
We went back to my room so we could finish the movie and eat. It was nice spending time with Colby again.
It made me realize how much I missed him. We spent most of the afternoon into the late night hanging out and talking.
It was nice. Around ten, Colby announced that he was going to leave so I walked down to his car with him.
"If I were a fruit, which one would I be?" I ask as we ride the elevator down to the lobby.
He started laughing towards me. "What made you think of that?" He laughed a little bit.
I just shrugged while looking up at him. He thought about it for a second.
"You would be a Raspberry." I laugh a little bit, not expecting that answer.
"Why a raspberry?" I asked curiously. He thought about it for a minute.
"Mainly cause you dress like one." He teases. I drop my jaw while slapping his chest a little bit.
I mean, he's not wrong. I dress mainly in pink or red. He looked down at me as the elevator stopped.
"What about me? What would I be?" He asked as I follow him out the elevator.
I started smiling knowing what I thought of. "You would be a blackberry." He chuckled a little bit.
"And why's that?" He asked even though he already knew the answer. "Mainly because you dress like one." I laugh as we get to his car.
He turns to me like he's deep in thought. "I'm glad we could work things out." He admits towards me.
I softened up to him. "Me too, Colbs." He opened his arms up to hug me. I quickly give him one, my heart beating fast in my chest.
I don't know why but hugging Colby made my heart flutter and my face got hot.
Why am I feeling like this? I step back and pull away from the hug. "Be safe driving, Brock." I smile towards him.
He scrunches his nose towards me which makes my heart beat fast once again.
Am I having a heart attack? Literally, what is going on down there? I brush it off while I look up at Colby.
"Don't get too worried about me, Lawley. I'll text you." He softens up towards the end. I punch him on the arm a little bit and nod my head.
"See you soon dork." I stuck my hands in my pocket while I walk back to my apartment.
When I walk back in, Harrison and Heather were waiting for me. "When did you two become friends again?" He asked.
"Today, if you have to know." I tease him a little. I walk past him and go into my room.
I lay on my bed with a smile on my face.
