Pulling up in my freshly painted and waxed Volkswagen up to my house, I was feeling like I was on cloud nine and just getting started. Ryder was officially my friend again, I had got my car back, and I was getting pumped for helping Jasmine with her big event.

At this point, there was nothing more I could ask for.

Jingling the keys to the front door entering inside the foray about to share the great news to my Dad who insisted on needing to see me happy again, I was ready to let him know about it all.

"Faith!" I quickly heard him shout in a terrifying mannered tone.

Great, when did I ever just win here?

"Dad?! I'm here! What's wrong?! Where are you?!" I asked frantically rushing up the stairs, following the sound of his voice. He was articulating like someone just killed his puppy which was odd since we never had one.

With no answer, I had finally reached the landing and over to the figure of him standing upright in my room gazing down to a few jackets I had accidentally thrown on the floor, as I soon greeted him panting like I just ran the mile.

"Hey! What's going on?!" I inquired again more worried.

Looking up to me timidly fidgeting a little, he didn't answer just yet but only sighed in an unsure and nervous manner.

Oh man if he looked like this, whatever it was couldn't be good just as I expected.

"Um...well, I'm hoping you can tell me. You see, when I got home from work, I decided that since you were so upset I would tidy up my daughter's room and hopefully put a smile on your face. But it turns out...fate had other plans." He pulled out something in his pocket.

Quickly, my world rocked and my body felt numb and removable, as I saw the one thing that would make me busted for sure.

He was holding my time elixir.

"Now look I know I promised, and we agreed when you entered into your teen years that I would try to rationalize everything, before jumping to conclusions or making wrongful assumptions right off the bat. But ladybug—especially after last night, you gotta just let me know upfront..." he trailed off taking one more deep breath in, speaking again. "Are you on the pipe?"

"Oh my, god." I breathlessly spoke out in astonishment.

I definitely had a lot more explaining to do.

I thought I had been so careful. I thought that I was doing a bang up job with keeping my secret—but now nearly all my secrets were exposed.

Pacing back and forth in a slight bit of a panicked state as we were in his bedroom while he was holding a pillow sitting on the edge of the bed, I was trying to contemplate on how much and what I was going to share or not. But the uncomfortable looks I kept getting from him all shifty eyed, wasn't making it any better.

"Can you please stop staring at me as if you've just discovered a life-changing secret, in my girl tech password journal?" I simply requested.

"I-I-I'm not." My father only said with the palest look his dark skin could form.

"Well then, can you please also stop staring at me like I'm some kind of alien? I swear, it's not what you think Dad."

I didn't even start explaining anything yet, but I only saw in his eyes the many upcoming poking and baffling questions on the subject. I knew giving him half truths wasn't going to cut it either. If someone had to know what was really happening with me, who would be better to tell about it than the man who sent me here?
