Blaze POV:
When Silver, Knuckles and I arrived in Mobotropolis, we saw the whole city on fire. Silver and I froze in terror.
"It's just like home..." Silver muttered in fear.
"Man," I heard Knuckles say, " I hope Queen Sonya's ok."
And the three of us all ran into the burning city, ready for any challenge the place would throw at us.
"Eggman's robots are scattering bombs like confetti!" Knuckles shouted as we saw Eggman's Bomb-strages, which must have been a recent robot he made.
"I don't think I can go on like this." I said uncertainly.
"Those robots are gonna pay!" Silver said heroically as he lifted me into his arms and held me like I were his bride. "I love fireworks, but not like this."
As Silver and Knuckles ran, I saw a huge beast, a python made of fire, approach us.
"Look at the size of that thing." Said Silver in awe.
"Looks like things are heating up." Said Knuckles. "Split up, guys! He can't catch all three of us!"
"Got it!" I said as I pried myself from Silver's arms and ran on a loop. I'd planned to jump the python, but it swallowed me whole!
"You WILL regret that, beast!" I declared, "Cats make terrible snacks!"
I thrashed around in there for a few seconds. My intention was to cover as much as its mouth with my hair as possible. After those seconds had passed, the beast spat me free and I rejoined Knuckles and Silver.
We got to Sonya's castle just in time to see Mephiles attempting to kidnap her.
"This shouldn't be possible." I thought. "Mephiles was erased from history. Why is he here?"
I lit the villain on fire after Knuckles punched him over to me. Then, Silver made a psychic shield around us to ward off any other threats from the Eggman empire.
"Are you ok, Sonya?" Asked Knuckles as she looked down at her gown.
"No." The princess replied sadly. "I feel so ashamed. A princess who can't protect her people shouldn't be a princess at all."
"Hey," Said Knuckles, "This whole war isn't your fault, it's Eggman's." And he took her hand in his and promised that "Sally and the Acorn Highground are gonna defeat him."
"How can you be sure?" Sonya asked.
"Because we're heroes." I told the princess of Mobotropolis, "And were very unlikely to lose. And before you say anything, we're a team and won't wind up like your brother."
Reassured, Sonya thanked us for saving her and requested that we followed her to a hideout her youngest brother, Manic, had prepared should Eggman start a second Freedom War.
After informing Sally of where were going, we agreed and followed the princess through Mobotropolis.
