              Edward pov
"What do you mean you really can't tell me?" He asked me. "Because I'm not explaining how I took the bad away from her to my father." I snapped out as I sat on the bed with Bella in my arms.
I reached for the extra blanket and wrapped it around bella.
"Dad when I found them he was so damn close to rap.. I mean he was right there and if I didn't walk in well all that surgery they just did would of been shot all to hell. He was that fucking close." I finally got out.
All she kept doing is repeating the words over and over again.
"No good to replace the bad. No good to replace the bad. No good to replace the bad."
I finally broke out and started crying because right this minute I didn't know what to do for her except for to hold her in my arms and I pulled her closer to me.
"I ha
ven't been around because I had to fucking work because people were out sick and it's killing me inside because he almost took the two most important people out of my life, not just once but twice now dad and I don't think I can live with myself if that happens damn it." My dad kneeled down in front of me and put his hand on my knee.
"I have never in my entire life time have ever seen you cry son. She's really everything to you isn't she?" I nod my head as more tears fall.
"I'm going to call Charlie and tell him he's needed here at home. I'm going to take Hope out in the living room and you just stay right here." All I could do is nod my head and I buried my face into Bella hair.
"Emmett stop don't go in there. The only people allowed in there right now is me your mother or Charlie do understand me!" I heard my dad ordered.
"Why, he my brother and she's my sister and she got hurt damn it!" Emmett said.
"Because Bella isn't the only one that got hurt and step another foot son I will set my granddaughter down and tackle your ass down myself. Now back the fuck away from your brother bedroom." Holy shit dad can kick ass if he needed to.
Then I heard running and I looked to the doorway to see Charlie standing there and all I could do is shake and the tears were falling.
Charlie was in front of me kneeling and he could hear Bella repeating the same thing over and over again.
"I'm lost here Charlie, I can't replace the bad with the good right now and I don't know what to do?" I told him.
"I can't lose her Charlie." I told him. He put his hand on the side of my face. He has been the only other person that came into my life that understood me.
"Then you figure out something different right now to replace the bad with the Good." He told me.
"The only way I knew how was to show her and I can't do that now." He told me.
"Yes you can you just have to show her another way. Even if it's just by holding her. Or touching her the way you did. It doesn't have to be the other way. It has to wait right now and I think that's what hurts her the most and the fact she pushed you away again." Charlie explained to me.
"I wasn't around for her. She was right I was always at work when I should of been here with her at night." I told him.
"Of no fault of your own son. Hell I even had to go in myself Alot. But do you know what you did tonight that I have never seen you do since I been here?" He asked me.
"No!" I told him. "Oh hell Edward how can you forget. I swear to God if I wasn't looking at you tonight I saw my daughter come through you and how you took that bullet that would knock most people down. You stood tall and took it like it was nothing and you shot the bastard even though the asshole had on a bulletproof vest on. But anyways you stopped him. You stopped him from rapping my baby girl." He told me.
"I did that didn't I." I told him. "Yes you did son and I'm proud of you for it. I'm proud to call you my son in law." He told me. 
He stood up and sat on the bed next to us and put an arm around me and just sat there with me during my melt down.
"Sorry to interrupt but can I help get Bella into some dry clothes and it would look like yourself son you would need some dry clothes on yourself." She told me. I turned my head and looked at my mom.  Rose will help me with Bella and you can change and have some coffee and it would seem a little girl in here needs here daddy a moment to she won't stop crying." My mom told me.
"I'll be out there in a minute mom and thank you." I told her. She smiled at me. "There isn't anything I wouldn't do for my son and my daughter in law. Know I love you both very much." She told me.
"I love you too mom." I wasn't one that told my family or showed them much love. But since Bella came into my life she changed that to.
"I love you to Charlie just like if you were my own dad." I told him.
 "I love you too and don't let that go to your head. Come on, you need to change and your daughter needs her daddy. Maybe your dad can give Bella something to help her sleep." I nodded my head.
I got up and gently laid Bella down on the bed and I leaned down and gave her a kiss on the forehead. "I love you so much Baby." I told her In her ear.
Then she took my hand and I looked at Charlie. "See I told you." He said to me and I looked down at her hands and they were still bloody.
I leaned back down. "I will be back I promise. I just have to go deal with Hope. But I will have you back in my arms again I promise." I kissed her hand and gently laid it down.
I grabbed Bella a pair of my pajama bottoms and one of my tshirts for her and set them on the bed along with other stuff they would need for her ppand then I grabbed me a change of pajama bottoms and a Tshirt and I stood up a sec.
Maybe Charlie was right about this. I just have to show her other ways.
