Waking up with Bruce is nothing new. Your body, however, is sore in new ways as your stretch, carefully checking yourself for any love marks but not finding any. He is already up and showered and drinking tea beside you. It's barely 7 am. You figure he woke up hours ago, researching his new foes. Though whenever you opened your eyes, he was beside you, cuddled close. Except for now as he turns the TV on. His hair is still a little wet in front of his eyes.

The morning news is calm as the brunette woman talks about traffic. A sunny older man appears with a blonde older woman as they talk about news around Gotham. Nothing about last night. Bruce's eyes are intense before he cuts them to you. "The Owls have been around for centuries. I told Kate to look into them last night. It's early morning news so if it was anything heavy, I doubt they would cover it as much." He mutes it as he puts his tea on his nightstand. He slides down, kissing your cheek. "How are you today?" You laugh as you shake your head. "I'm exhausted, but satisfied." You hold your hand up, admiring your ring for a moment longer.

He takes your hand in his, pressing light kisses against your palm. "You won't be departed from it long. I want this to go smoothly." You sigh, grimacing as you sit up. "I let you sleep in, but you should start getting ready. Lucy already got a dress and such for you, but if you find something else, you can definitely wear that." He squeezes your hand gently before sliding off the bed.

"Why must we get up so early?" You whine, covering your head with covers. "Time is precious. You also don't want your mom to see your stab wound. So watch that." You make another face, yesterday was an annoying blur. Your hands slide down to your stomach. The bandage has been replaced by Bruce.

"So nothing revealing," You say, popping your head out.

"At least not there..." Bruce says softly before trailing off. "Anything important I should know about your siblings before meeting them?" You shake your head. "Grace is more serious, but cares a lot and Eric is a goofball." You don't know what else to say being it so early. He nods as he stands. "Thank you." He leaves the room, giving you the space to exist.

The floor is cold against your feet as you make your way to the bathroom. You're slightly disappointed to see the lack of marks on your body. The safe choice. You shower quickly, trying not to irritate your bandage again. The bathroom is so modern and ornate. It's what you expected back at the Tower in your room. You sigh as you sit on the shower chair, your back on the cool white marble. The waterfall shower continues to fall. You run your hand over the black metal bar, your mind wandering. Tonight makes you more nervous than you thought. He already proposed so you don't need to feel any certain way. You know that deep down. It's not your family that you're nervous about but... You look at your hand, the ring. "I'm gonna get sick," You whisper as you hold on to the pole, standing up slowly. You take a deep breath, steadying your mind. It's okay to be nervous about this. You don't need to overreact. You turn the water off, shaking off your nerves. You'll cry in front of your family when he asks again. Make it more theatrical for the people who will take pictures.

Bruce already laid out clothes for you: A green sweater with a white overall dress, a burgundy sweater dress, and a black sweater with black jeans. You figure he would wear something similar to the last outfit, but the green sweater is made from cashmere as you touch it. Tempting. Your eyes switch between the green and burgundy dress. The sweater wasn't as soft, but it would be easier to get in and out of than the others. The jeans would rub against your bandage and your discomfort would be so obvious to your mother.

Bruce walks in moments later, in a khaki-colored turtleneck, black pants, and a matching black coat. "It's a little early to go." You say softly as you slowly pull your panties on. He barely registers your words as he grabs his phone and wallet. "I have to check on a few things before I meet with your family," Bruce says finally as he steps in front of you.
