I pull out a travel sized ointment bottle and a few bandages. I then head back up the stairs and to my room.

Once I'm back in the safety of my room, I put the ointment on all my cuts, including the new one on my toe and put a new bandage on my thigh.

I look in the mirror and see that my ribs are different shades of black, purple and blue, but mainly dark black and that my left shoulder is turning purple.

Two days before I had came here, after John had given me a bad beating, he told me to get on my knees and open my mouth as he unbuckled his pants. When I refused, knowing what he wanted from me, he grabbed his metal bat and hit my left shoulder hard, causing me to fall down a bit, which he used to his advantage to yank me onto my knees.

Pulling myself back from my thoughts I pull out my concealer and put some on the fading bruise on my temple and on the dark circles under my eyes. I want to try to look at least a little presentable since all the men here look so fancy.

After looking at myself in the mirror for a little while longer, I realize that this is the most I've looked presentable in a really long time.

I finally look away and walk out of my bathroom. I go to look at the mini bookshelf in the corner of my room and take a random book. I then sit on the egg chair that's placed by the books and start reading.
________________________________

I was already half way through my book when I hear a knock on my door. "Come in" I say quietly. I look at my phone to see it's 7:30.

Axel comes in through the door, with a bland look on his face. "Lorenzo wants to see you downstairs" he says, waiting for me to get up.

I nod my head nervously and put down my book, we then walk down the stairs. What does Lorenzo wants to talk about? Am I in trouble? Oh god, he's already sending me back. What if this is when he shows his true colors, he's going to beat me.

I'm pulled out of my thoughts as we enter the kitchen and I see everyone already at the dinner table.

I keep my head down, knowing something's not right and sit down in the spot I sat in last night. I quickly glance up and see that everyone's already looking at me. Elijah gives me a big smile while Ace gives me a cold hard glare that turns into a smirk. My gaze soon lands on Lorenzo as he clears his throat to talk.

"Good morning Aria, how did you sleep?" He asks with squinted eyes.

"G-good" I say.
Damnit why do I always stutter?

"Very well, now, may I ask you why you were seen in the kitchen getting medical supplies at 3 in morning?" Lorenzo asks while trying to read me.

I feel my face get pale from realization that I've been caught and I realize I need to make up an excuse, fast.

"W-what do you mean?" I ask deciding to play dumb for now, even though I know it won't last long.

"Neonata, we have cameras. We can all clearly see you grab supplies from the cabinet" Elijah says in a soft voice. Shit

"O-oh, I, um" I stutter out.

"Are you hurt?" Nic asks, probably realizing I'm having troubles talking right now.

But can you blame me? I'm sat at a table with seven muscular- model looking men, who are all staring at me, one in which is smirking at me, waiting for me to mess up.

And just at I started bouncing my leg in panic, it hit me. The perfect lie, with proof!

"Um, y-yeah, I hurt my toe and it started bleeding so I went to find bandages, I'm sorry" I say, finishing off with my eyes looking at my lap. They're probably mad at me for being downstairs and using their stuff.
