Sheriff's StationRafael was questioning Scott, Stiles, Kira, Leo and Lydia about what happened and was trying to get the story out of them. "So, when did you get there?" Rafael asked. "At the same time." Stiles said. "At the same time as who?" Rafael asked. "At the same time as me." Scott said. "By coincidence?" Rafael asked. "What do you mean, "by coincidence?" Stiles asked. "That's what I'm asking you. The two of you arrived at the same time-- was that a coincidence?" Rafael asked. "Are you asking me?" Scott asked. "I think he's asking me." Stiles said. "I think he's asking the both of you." Lydia said. Leo nodded.
"Okay, let me answer the questions." Rafael said frustrated. Everyone looked at him confused. "...Let me ask the questions." Rafael said, correcting himself. "Just so I have this absolutely clear..." Rafael said. Everyone looked at him. "Barrow was hiding in the chemistry closet at the school. Someone left him a coded message on the blackboard telling him to kill Kira. Then, Barrow took Kira to a power substation and tied her up with the intent of electrocuting her, which blacked out the whole town." Rafael said.
"Sounds about right..." Stiles said. "How did you know he'd take her to a power station?" Rafael asked. "Well, 'cause he was an electrical engineer. So, where else would he take her?" Stiles asked. "That's one hell of a deduction there, Stiles." Rafael said. "Yeah, what can I say? I take after my pops-- he's in law enforcement." Stiles said smugly. He looked at his dad behind the Rafael and winked at him. The sheriff smirked and when Rafael looked at him, he began coughing to cover it up. "Stiles, just, uh... just answer the man." The sheriff said.
Stiles sighed. "We made a good guess." Stiles said. "What were the three of you doing?" Rafael asked Scott, Leo and Kira. "Eating pizza." Scott said. "Eating sushi." Kira said at the same time. They looked at each other. "...Eating sushi." Scott said. "...Eating pizza." Kira said at the same time. Leo sighed and looked at them. "Eating sushi and pizza." The three said simultaneously. Rafael scoffed and looked at the sheriff. "You believe this?" Rafael asked. "To be honest, I haven't believed a word Stiles has said since he learned how to speak... But, I think these kids found themselves in the right place at the right time, and that girl sitting there is very lucky for it." The sheriff said.
Rafael looked at Kira. "Kira, is that how you remember it?" Rafael asked. "...Yes." Kira said. Rafael nodded. "Could I get my phone back now?" Kira asked. "Sorry, but no. Kira, a deputy is going to take you home, but we need you to fill out some paperwork first." Rafael said. As they walk out the office, an officer took Kira to fill out paperwork as Rafael called out to his son. "Scott... I don't know why you guys are lying, or why Stilinski is content to listen to this crap... But, try to remember something-- If half this story about Barrow is true, the not only did someone help set him loose, but he was a pawn in their little game. A mass murderer is bad enough. A mass murderer being controlled by someone? Far worse." Rafael said.
"Yeah, I get it." Scott said. "All right. Go home. It's a school night." Rafael said. Rafael then looked over at Leo talking with Lydia. "Leo." Rafael called out. Leo sighed and looked at his uncle. "Can we talk for a moment?" Rafael asked. Leo sighed before looking back at Lydia before walking into his office. Rafael turned into the office and closed the door. Scott watched through the window as the two argued, mainly Leo arguing and Rafael not saying anything. A few moments later, Leo stormed out the office and slammed the door shut. "Everything ok?" Scott asked. Leo sighed. "I don't want to talk about it." Leo said. Scott nodded.
The Next Day ~ Beacon Hills High School
Leo and Lydia were sat in their Biology class when Lydia's mom walked up to their desk. "Sweetheart, since this is my first class and I haven't taught in five years, I just want to remind you of one thing..." Natalie said. Lydia looked up at her. "Try not to embarrass me. And that applies to you as well Leo." Natalie said. "You should have thought of that before wearing those shoes." Lydia said. Natalie looked at her shoes before rolling her eyes and looking at Lydia again.
