(Pt2)
When Hajime came too he found in front of him a door. The world around him was black and fuzzy, the only thing that felt real was that ominous door. Hinata opened it and like deja vu, he stepped into a classroom. Questions of how he got there and why he was alone swarmed his head. He longed for a companion in all this chaos. The classroom was like any old class, nearly identical to the one they had been in before arriving at the island and likely the same as thousands of others. Hajime looked around wondering if he even were still on Jabberwock Island.
*ding dong bing bong*
That familiar sound echoed in the room. On a monitor, Monokuma appeared comforted that Hajime's life was still in the bear's hands. This didn't comfort him or deter him.
"Ahem! Testing, testing! Mike checks, one two. Am I on can everyone hear me alright? Well then..... Welcome to Hopes Peak Academy, you guys! At this point, I shall explain the graduation exam to you all....Please assemble at the gymnasium immediately." And the monitor turned off.
Hajime at a loss could only hope that no more killing would be needed for the final exam. He headed out the door and wearily looked around. It was a school hallway only the lights were purple and sickly, and the checkered floor made it feel like another reality. The place was no average school. Hajime walked around the oddly colored school looking for the gym. He found it down the hallway and cautiously opened the door. He nearly breathed a sigh of relief when he saw it was only a normal gymnasium.
"Yo Hajime!" Fuyuhiko greeted.
"Took ya long enough." Akane crossed her arms.
"Hey what do ya make of all this? Monokuma said this was Hopes Peak Academy." Kazuichi said.
"That cannot be true." Sonia frowned.
"Y-Your right.... No matter how you look at it, it's impossible." Fuyuhiko agreed.
"Well... it could be." Y/n shrugged.
"HELLLOOOOOO!" Monokuma appeared. "How does it feel to return to long-awaited Hopes Peak?"
"Where'd you lock us up this time?" Akane growled.
"W-wh-what a shock?! I just told you, Hopes Peak. I mean this is definitely Hopes Peak Academy. At least what's left of it anyway." Monokuma told them.
"what's left of it?" Hajime questioned a bit taken back by the statement.
"Unfortunately the Academy fell to ruin....I mean they were doing things they deserved to be ruined for." Monokuma scratched nervously.
"Hmm Damn right..."
"I'm disappointed, none of you are feeling that good old nostalgia! Well, at least one of you is hahaha!" Monokuma clutched his belly.
"Just cut to the chase bastard!" Fuyuhiko nearly shouted.
"uuuugh, I made this Hopes Peak between the door to the ruin and the inside of the ruin! Don't you understand?" Monokuma said.
"that doesn't make any sense." Hajime frowned.
"I'm sick of your shit just tell us about the graduation exam already." Fuyuhiko demanded.
"I'm a little worried that you all won't be make it in the outside world. So I plan to show you what is like in case you all want to stay here..." Monokuma had an almost mischievous glint in his eyes.
"Like hell, we'd stay here!" Akane chirped.
"Just hurry up and let us choose!" Kazuichi ordered.
"Not yet! The main cast hasn't even arrived yet. Meaning you guys are just extras till the guests of honor arrive. So enough complaining, hurry up and start researching the outside world?!" Monokuma declared angrily.
"What?!" Hajime glared.
"Grrr I have dispersed all of the learning materials you need throughout the school. All the information is accurate and contains no lies! Study up because this exam will be very......despairing hahaha!" Monokuma then disappeared.
"Outside world? Main cast?" Sonia sweated anxiously.
"This building is really Hopes Peak?" Kazuichi frowned.
"Were you not listening? It's a recreation but still Hopes Peak." Y/n told him.
Hajime began to sulk. His face fell and he grew increasingly hopeless. He had no talent so why was he there? Why was someone normal like he stuck here? He must have been the most unlucky man alive.
"Hajime did something happen?" Sonia asked.
"Nows not the time to zone out!" Fuyuhiko told him.
"Right....sorry it's nothing." He waved them off.
"We should get to investigating." Y/n made his way to the door and was the first to leave.
One by one they left, Hajime being the last to leave. Suddenly he was pulled by the back of his shirt back into the gym. In his head, he was as good as dead. His heart was going 100 miles per hour. Y/n's face came into view, his heart didn't calm down but for a different reason than near death.
"Hajime!" Y/n said in a serious manner.
"Is something wrong?" Hajime asked him.
"look-" he looked around as if someone were watching them. "I can't help you during the exam, you can't depend on me for answers, you'll have help but you have to do this without me."
"What are you talking about? Is something wrong?" Hajime asked genuinely concerned and a little scared.
"I can't tell you what's wrong, I wish I could. I'm so sorry Hajime for everything, I'm not the person I was at the start of this, I've changed in the strangest way." Y/n suddenly hugged Hajime gripping tightly to his shirt. 
"Y/n." Hajime wrapped his arms around him.
"I'm scared. I'm so scared of going back to being the person I was....but I have to." His voice was wavering like he was trying not to cry.
"I don't understand Y/n but I trust you. If I can help in any way, please let me." Hajime muttered.
"You can't, this is my fight." Y/n pulled away whipping at his eyes.
"Will you help me investigate?" Hajime asked holding Y/n's hand.
"I can't." He pulled his hand away. "But Nakama will."
"Nakama?"
"I'm coming! Just give me a- humph!" The purple bear toppled off the stage of the gym and hit the floor with a thud.
"Oh, Nakama." Hajime chuckled moving to help the bear.
He picked up the bear setting it on its feet. "Thank you!"
"Y/n how did you know he was-" Hajime looked back to find Y/n gone. "Here...."
"Common I'll help you with your research."
