Midoriya was not expecting to wake up, and even as his eyes slowly opened, he wasn't sure what to think of it. Three figures loomed over him, and to say he couldn't quite tell what was going on was an understatement.

"Izuku!" Ochako smiled brightly as she watched Midoriya blink rapidly. She moved backwards so that Midoriya could sit up, which he did while almost falling to the side from the fading dizziness. "You're awake. I'm so glad!"

Midoriya stayed quiet as he scanned Bakugo's face, then glanced at Todoroki, processing his surroundings. Finally, he turned back towards Ochako, mouth opening and closing as he attempted to form his question.

"What happened?" Midoriya murmured, unsure what else to ask. Bakugo clicked his tongue, squatting next to him.

"You're supposed to be telling us that. What the hell happened? You were just fucking lying there like a corpse." Bakugo scoffed at his own comment. "Some were quite disappointed when they realized you weren't one."

"I...uh." Midoriya hesitated, averting his eyes. "It was a quirk. A separate space of some sort...I'm not sure how to explain it."

"That doesn't mean shit." Bakugo clicked his tongue in annoyance and shook his head. "What about All for One?" Midoriya opened his mouth to speak but faltered. That was a good question.

"I tried to stop him, but I'm not sure if I did anything to him." Midoriya scanned their faces. Bakugo nodded, connecting the dots.

"He's dead, presumably." Midoriya felt a strange twinge in his chest as he gulped down heavily.

"Oh." Midoriya inhaled slowly, unsure what to think of the news.

"All for One is dead?" Todoroki questioned, eyes wide as he frowned in stupor. Bakugo and Ochako eyed him in disbelief for a few seconds before Ochako realized he had no way of knowing the news, so she shook her head, standing up to re-focus on Todoroki instead.

"Possibly. His heart isn't beating, but it could be an illusion, so don't get hopeful too soon." Todoroki nodded slowly, deflating as he averted his eyes, seeming to quickly lose the subtle excitement that had glimmered in his eyes.

"We need to get going." Bakugo suddenly stated, standing up. "Endeavor will come for us if we don't get there soon, and murder clearly isn't that far off in his mind."

"Endeavor?" Midoriya questioned, a knot forming in his throat. He didn't like the sound of that. "Where are you taking me, anyway?"

"Apparently to UA." Todoroki stated matter of factly, eyebrows slightly furrowing at his own statement. "It's not clear what Nezu is planning, but he wants the three of you there."

"Nezu..." Midoriya trailed off, unsure what to make of what he'd been told. Nezu was impossible to predict, therefore hypothesizing about what the principal might do was useless, and yet he couldn't help but wonder about the endless punishments Nezu might be planning.

Typical execution was the best case scenario, that Midoriya knew for sure. Thinking about the worst case scenario, though, was impossible. There were too many to choose from, and too many of them were plausible in the minds of the injured and vengeful people.

"Honestly, I'm not sure what to think of this." Ochako admitted as they walked down the street. "I...If I were to say that I don't want to possibly sacrifice Izuku, would you let us run away?" Todoroki seemed to start to mull over the idea, but his train of thought was instantly interrupted.

"No." Bakugo stated confidently, without a second of hesitation. Ochako faltered, seeming taken aback by the bluntness, but Bakugo let out a sharp sigh in response. "How is that a good idea? You bastards are just going to make life worse for yourself and for me if I just let you off. I'm still planning on becoming the greatest hero, in case you forgot."
