"Today's the day."
You were sitting in a chair in your hotel room as stylists helped you get ready for one of, if not the most important day of your life.
It was already halfway through the day, about 6 hours before the event you've been waiting and planning for. Your wedding party had just gotten ready with the assistant of the stylists, as well as your aunts, as well as your mother and sister in law. Now you were getting ready for the hours ahead.
Your heart was racing, your mind was flooded with potential outcomes of the night ahead. You were scared, anxious of what was yet to come. You tried to assure yourself everything was going to be okay, and that you had to be and stay strong, for yourself and your soon-to-be husband.
Although, You tried to ignore the overthinking, but you couldn't.
"You're overthinking again.."
You sighed before you chuckled as you heard the familiar voice of Jazzy echo out to you. She walked over and kneeled in front of you, taking your hands in hers gently as you looked down to her. Your eyes slowly began to fill with tears as you looked to Jazzy. She stared at you for a moment before noticing.
"No, no, no. Don't even. You are about to get married, hun. This is probably one of, if not the happiest moment of your life!" Jazzy spoke up.
You nodded, "I know, it's just.." You looked down, "Every.. every single time I have a somewhat happy moment in my life, it's always going to follow with something bad! I barely have time to enjoy these moments without a moment breaking me down right after." You sniffled as you held back your tears.
Jazzy nodded sadly, "I understand, hun. And I get how scary that is." She spoke sincerely. "But look at where you are! You're sitting here, one of the NYPD's best detectives, hours before you're getting married to the person you love most. To the person you're going to spend the rest of your life with." Jazzy continued.
"You are so strong. You've been through so much, and look at where you are. You're here. And all of us are so proud of you for staying strong. Especially me." Jazzy spoke, "And Jayden." She quickly added, making the both of you giggle. You then nodded as a smile appeared on your face.
After a few moments, the stylists then finally finished their work. They gave you a nod as they told you that you were ready for your 'First Look'.
You looked to Jazzy for a moment before she nodded in encouragement. You got up and went over, looking away from the mirror. Your wedding party, as well as the photographers and stylists stood there, waiting for you to turn around. You took a deep breath for a moment before exhaling.
You slowly turned around, looking at yourself in the mirror.
"Oh my goodness.."
You stood in front of the mirror, staring at yourself in shock. You stared at every detail of your hair and makeup was done so perfectly to match you. A smile of awe appeared on your face as you looked at yourself, ignoring every sudden noise that you heard, from the camera's clicking, to other people talking.
That was until your phone rang, you glanced over and saw your phone being handed over to you.
Taking it from the other person's hand, you answered it.
"Hello?.."

"Look at you, Jayden! You're glowing!"Jayden let out a chuckle as he looked down at his feet, "Thank you, all of you." He spoke as the other gentlemen in the room smiled back at him.
It was 5 more hours until the wedding. Jayden was currently at the venue in a seperate room after he had just gotten ready. He sat with the groomsmen, as well as his younger brother, Elijah. The gentlemen sat together and talked, waiting for the hours to pass before the ceremony commenced.
