Alexander's POV
I lean back in my chair and sigh.
Diana's gone on her lunch break. She shouldn't be back for another half an hour. Meaning I have to actually work.
Some people might say that Diana is distracting me from doing my job. Those people can fuck off.
I sit forward and groan before standing up. I need to get the end-of-the-month data report from level forty-two. Usually, I'd get Diana to get it, but since she's on her break I'll just get it now.
I walk to the elevator and get in once the doors open. I lean against the wall as I wait. The doors open after a few seconds.
There are a few people standing around talking, or standing by the printer impatiently waiting, but everyone seems to stop and go quiet when they see me.
I walk past them, ignoring the stares of literally everyone. I go into the department head's office, but he's not there.
But I see the file on the corner of his desk and grab it and go. I walk back to the elevator, not sparing anyone a glance. Once the doors close, I sigh and wait to be brought to my floor.
The doors open and I go back into my office and sit down. Opening the file, the very first thing I notice is the yellow sticky note stuck to the first page.
'Why does Diana have this job?
A: She worked hard for it
B: She had all the qualifications
C: She did the only thing she knew how to do; spread her legs like the whore she is.Correct answer: C'
I stare at the note in disbelief, hoping that it wasn't actually real and that Diana wasn't getting sent notes as horrible as this.
But I knew it was real. She told me herself.
Trying to remain calm, I grab my phone out of my pocket and ring Leo.
"Get here now" Is all I say before hanging up.
****
Ten minutes later he walks in eating a fucking burger.
"What do you want?" He asks as he sits down on one of the chairs in front of my desk and puts his feet up.
This fucker.
"I need you to get the security feed up from floor forty-two" I mutter, and he rolls his eyes and stands up.
"I've shown you how to do this twice now" He scowls as he walks over behind my desk. I stand up, being nice enough to let him sit in my chair.
He finished the last bite of his burger before he began typing away.
I pace back and forth, trying my very best to remain as calm as possible. But it's hard when all I can think about is punching the shit out of whoever the fuck did this.
Diana doesn't know, and I don't plan on telling her, but I've already fired thirteen people. And it's only been three weeks since she told me how everyone was treating her.
In three weeks, I've had to fire thirteen people. It's a fucking disgrace and what's worse is I know there will be more.
Starting with whoever the fuck did this.
"What am I looking for?" Leo asks, and I walk back over to him and stare at the screen that's now split into sixteen boxes, all showing different places of floor forty-two.
