~Seraphina~

I fell to the ground as the men holding me harshly pushed me inside of the tent.

"This is the 3rd time you've tried getting out, just what are you expecting to accomplish? You no doubt have no clue where the wolf pack is and I could easily send a few hunting dogs after you and bring you back before you even manage to get a mile's distance away..."

I angrily glared at regard before standing up. "You can't keep me, hostage, here, and I won't stop trying to escape!"

Renard just watched me for a moment the look on his face clearly showing his annoyance.

"Seems your not as easily convinced as others..." He glanced over at the two hunters who dragged me into his tent before speaking up. "Clear out the town's storage room and have a lock installed..."

Both the men nodded before leaving renards quarters to go do their task.

"As for you...you don't realize it yet but your not a hostage..."

"Then why are you keeping me here like a prisoner! " I snapped.

"You and I are the last of the silver clan...the whole point of us coming here was to rebuild what we lost...i wish to restore our clan, rebuild our home...wouldnt you like a place where you could belong..."

I hesitated, my mind felt conflicted, but my heart knew this was all wrong. "I don't belong here, and I refuse to help you when you only want to spill the blood of innocent people!"

"Those things are not people!" He slammed his fist on the desk as he stood up causing some trinkets to clatter to the ground. Instinctively I stepped back regard might look calm and collected most of the time but he had a temper...it was a dangerous thing to piss off a man who killed for a living.

After a moment of silence, he sunk back into his chair and ran his hand over his face. "Apologies, I do not like to associate those creatures you're trying so hard to protect as...people... They are inhuman and unnatural... Living in the forests, running around like a bunch of untamed savage dogs... They are pests..." Listening to regard talk about the werewolves like they were worth nothing...like my friends had no right to exist made my blood boil, and I couldn't help myself from speaking up again.

I scoffed at his excuse. "You use guns and silver weapons to fight they use their claws and teeth, you use traps and chemicals to hunt they use their instincts and senses...tell me how are they any more unnatural than we are..." Renard scowled at my remark, and I felt a bit of pride because I was right.

"Once again you try to defend their existence... You don't belong with them sera...you and I were born to kill their kind...the sooner you accept this truth the sooner you could be at peace with yourself and finally be at home where you belong...besides if your father saw you now what would he think?..." My mouth went dry at the mere topic of my family...before I lost them.

"Most parents would be proud if not ecstatic about their children becoming one of the clan's hunters but you...tsk... I doubt he gave up his life just so you could go over there and mingle with the ones who killed him..."

Lunging forward I grabbed the knife sitting on renards desk and threw it at him. The blade barely missed his shoulder before hitting the wooden post supporting the tent. Instead of getting angry at me for attacking him he just smiled... And I felt an unease creeping down my spine.

"Perhaps if your grandpa got attacked by one of the wolves you'd think differently..."

"Don't you dare hurt him!" I tried to step forward only to be held back by another hunter who entered behind me.
