Amara Moratti
I always was a person of dreams, I liked to dream and be creative. But I also was emotional. You could hurt me fast, even if I didn't show it. I'm always hurt. Sometimes word cut deeper than a knife, sometimes the leave behind a bigger scar.
I loved my family, I loved my mother, I loved my father, but mostly I loved my brothers. They always cared. They weren't interested in making me look attractive. They just wanted me to be happy.
My parents are not like that. There word Hüter me and left a scar, a big one. When my mother said 'no, you can't eat that, cake has to mich sugar, you will get fat' I didn't understood it. But it became more and more. 'Do more sport, that wouldn't hurt' or 'I wouldn't eat that, that goes straight to you hips' or 'you have to look attractive, men don't like fat woman'
Everything they said has left a scar. Years later the word haunt me, I hear them every time I eat. It's making me sick, but I can't change it.
So i was now standing in front of the big mirror. Looking at the black dress. It was beautiful, but did it look beautiful on me? Would Ace like it? Of course he would he chose it.
I felt more comfortable. This time I wasn't trying to gain attention from men, I wasn't wearing a showing dress my mother chose. No, I was wearing the perfect dress, chosen by my fiancé.
I did the last touch ups on my make up, before leaving my room. I went directly into Alinas room, sitting down on her bed as I heard her from the bathroom. "I will be finished in a minute or two" she yelled from the bathroom. "Okay" I yelled back.
I looked around her room. She also had a lot of books, just like me. But her room was much lighter, it was more in light cream colours than mine. It just looked like her.
Alina opened the bathroom door and staked out with her beautiful light purple glitter dress. I got up and made my way toward her. "You look beautiful" o says as I grabbed her hands. "Ohh my, look at you, this dress was made for you and this necklace, it looks perfect together with the ring" she smiled at me.
"My brother chose this dress and the necklace right?" She asked. "And the shoes" I said, showing her the green heels I was wearing. "He does have taste" she said. "Yeah, he does" I said back.
"Okay, let's go or we gonna be late" she nearly dragged me out of the room. "Okay, so, there are no guest her, only us and my parents, you have to go to Ace side, he will tell you the rest" Alina said.
We made our way down the stairs, I looked eyes with Ace. He looked at me like I was the Moste beautiful woman he has ever seen. It made me happy.
He walked toward me, holding out his hand for me to take. I took it, he pulled me toward him. "You look beautiful, amore" he whispered. I smiled. "Your tie is a little bit messy, let me fix it" I said as my hand moved toward his tie. Ace was wearing a black suit, with a black shirt and a green tie. He was matching me.
I fixed his tie and pulled him a little bit closer. "You look really handsome, Ace" I whispered back. He showed a light smile, taking my hand again. "Okay, you think you got this" he asked as we walked toward his parents. "I'm an deadly assassin sweetheart, I'm sure I can handle this"
Ace smiled at me. "I was not thinking anything else." Ace and I were standing in front of his parents, I knew that I had to stand next to him because I was his fiancé and he was the Don.
The Don who gave you his gun.
Shut up.
Ace wrapped his arm around my waist, pulling me tighter against him. "When they just look at you the wrong way I will kill them" he whispered only for me to hear. "I can handle myself" I said back, leaning lightly against Ace. "I know that" he whispered before the door opened to the first guests.
It turned out that I was supposed to acted like his perfect little wife. The moment the first guest came, I saw the look in there eyes. The men were not even talking to me, like I was not important. Ace must have felt me stiffening beside him, because he sent me an small smile to say sorry.
After we said hello to everyone, I went toward my brothers. I hugged both of them, nearly crying. "Hey, bambino" Xavier said as he pulled me into his armes. "Ohh god, I missed you so much." I hugged him hard, nearly sobbing.
Xavier let go of me and I went to hug Vincent. "Hi" I whispered, to him as his armes curled around my waist. "Hi, little sister" he whispered back. I felt the tension leave Vincent's body as he hugged me. "Is he good to you" Vincent asked as I pulled back.
I looked around the room, before answering, my eyes finding Ace. He was talking to some men I had meet but not catchend the name. I smiled. "Yes, he is really good to me" I said back.
Ace look up, his gaze catches mine. He smiled to, he said something to the men he was talking to before he started to walked toward me. He walked up next to me and greeted my brothers one by one. "Vincent, it's nice to see you again" ace said, politely as ever, shacking Vincent's hand. "Same goes for you DeAngelo"
"Xavier, it also nice to see you again" He said as he went to shake Xavier's hand. "Great to be here and of course to see my beautiful sister" Xavier said, looking at me.
"Where are Mamma and Papa" I asked both of them. "They went to talk with the guests, I'm sorry" Xavier said. I thought that they at least wanted to see me again, but it doesn't seems like it. I nodded at him and looked away, trying to hide my disappointment.
I felt a hand lightly grappling mine, I looked down. Ace tattoo covered hand in mine, lightly brushing his thumb over the backside of my hand. He was now talking to Vincent and Xavier about business. I actually listen this time. Doing my time here I wanted to learn more about the Mafia business, about Ace business.
Ace and I made our way around, while he was talking to the business men I was forced to talk with there wife's. "Ohh, it's so nice here, have you thought about getting your own house when you guys get married?" The high voice of Linda Dime asked, she was really annoying me. "I was not thinking about it, I may just start now" I say back as sweet as I could.
I had seen my parents a few times already but the never cared to come to me. Linda was about to respond something as the light went out and Ace hand wrapped around my waist.
He pulled us out of sign. "Amara" he said as he pulled me harder against him. "My guards won't respond, we are being attacked, do you have a gun or knifes" he asked. "I have four knifes" I answered. Ace nod and pulled out another gun, the one without his name in it. "I want you to wait until the perfect moment, show them who is the assassin" he said and backed away from me. I nod as the door was pushed open.
With that the gun fire started. I hid behind the stair case, just like all the other wife's hid somewhere. The only difference was I was waiting for the right moment to fight like Rosa Del Diavolo.
