"So, are you all ready for the game?"
With no luck, you all turned to find where the voice came from. "Up here~" The voice spoke again. That time, you caught sight of a mouth moving, but it was not one you expected. When you'd walked into the room with the blue door, you'd hardly regarded the large painting on the wall. With an endless hole in the floor, severed doll parts, and just being kidnapped in general, you thought nothing of it, despite how... ominous it had seemed. You now stared at it with wide eyes as it continued to speak, "Hello, everyone! My name is Meister. Are you ready to play Russian Roulette?"
"...What is Russian Roulette?" Sara asked.
"Oh, Sara, I'm so glad you asked. Honestly." The painting smiled. "Joe, you have the gun and bullets, correct? Both fake, and real, you'll put those suckers in the barrel, give it a spin, and shoot everyone until you're out of bullets. Or until you kill someone!" The painting let out a cackle as the group stood silently, not sure how to react. "Wow, you are a fun bunch. Try not to act too excited, now." Meister rolled their eyes.
"If you're all smart about this, no one will die, don't be so down. Now, it's time to pick a challenger; The person who controls the gun. The rest of you will be sitting in the chairs not already taken by dolls."
Silence, again.
"It doesn't seem like we can avoid this," Keiji sighed. "If we're doing this the democratic way, I vote for Joe to be the challenger."
Joe squinted his eyes at Keiji, "Huh?"
"You're willing to put a gun in the hands of someone who is only a teenager?" Kai asked. That was the second time you'd heard him speak.
"It's already in the hands of a teenager," Joe said, pulling the gun and nine bullets out of his pocket.
"Hey, Joe!" Q-Taro yelled, "Where'd ya get those things?!"
"Huh? Well, I found six of these bullets in another room, Keiji gave me the other three, and Y/N gave me the gun because Keiji didn't want it."
"Y'know, I have experience with guns. Learned how to use 'em back in America." Q-Taro said proudly.
"Okay," You said, "But, y'know, we've also got our very own police officer right here, huh?" You motioned with both of your hands toward Keiji. "I'm sure we'd all feel the most comfortable if he was handling the gun, as he must work with guns all the time."
Keiji seemed to glare at you from the side.
"Y/N is right." Sara backed you, "You handle guns all the time. Why are you putting a seventeen-year-old in charge of a gun when you have the experience we need?"
Keiji groaned. "I... can't."
"And why would that be? You must have a good reason if you're trying to hand over the gun to Joe and not to... him." Kai motioned to Q-Taro. You assume that Kai had just forgotten his name for that brief moment.
Keiji rubbed the back of his neck, "I kinda, like... shot... someone once."
Your jaw dropped slightly and you covered it with your hand.
"Did that person... die?"
"Yes. They did." Keiji said sadly. Sara narrowed her eyes at him. She must be thinking that he's lying. You had no reason to believe he was lying, so you didn't say anything.
"Wouldn't want ta put you through that then."
"Then I vote for Q-Taro," Kai said.
"I say Joe should handle the gun," Sara said. In a moment of adult defiance, you agreed with her, at which Joe looked at both of you confusedly. Keiji also agreed with the two of you, which left Joe speechless.
