(Splatoon) Marina Ida x Reader Part 3 (an important question)

                                    

                                          
     It's been nearly a year since you started dating Marina and as far as you're concerned, it was the best year of your life. The two of you have had so much fun as a couple. You moved in together after the first few months. You were worried that you might be intruding, but Pearl insisted it was fine.
Flashback
Pearl: This place is more than big enough for the three of us.
Y/N: That's, um, not what I was concerned about.
Pearl: Y/N. You're not gonna come between us. I know both of you better than anybody else. Neither of you would ever let that happen.
Present Day
     Tonight was date night. Marina insisted it be a stay-at-home dinner date. She said she wanted to try cooking some new recipes she found. When you finished getting ready, you walked out into the kitchen to find Marina cooking something on the stove. You didn't know what it was, but it smelled delicious.
Y/N: Hey, I'm ready. That smells really good!
Marina: Thanks! It'll be done in a few minutes.
     You walk up behind her and put your arms around her waist; which isn't that hard to do, on account of how much taller she is than you. You stay like that while Marina hums a pleasant little melody until-
Marina: Food's done!
     You go to the table and Marina gives you your food along with giving herself some too. You chat a bit while you eat. You notice that Marina seems a bit more timid than usual, but you don't really think much of it.
     After dinner, you go over to the couch to cuddle and watch a movie. Or, more accurately, cuddle and periodically kiss while a movie plays in the background.
     The night is perfect. You feel like the luckiest squid/octopus alive to have a girlfriend as amazing as Marina. All you can think about is how stunning she looks and how adorable she is and how proud you are of her that she could do the things she could.
Y/N: Rina?
Marina: Yeah, Hon?
Y/N: I love you.
     Marina giggled.
Marina: I love you too, Y/N. So much.
...
Marina: Hey, Y/N?
Y/N: Yeah? What's up?
Marina: Do you remember the night we first started dating?
Y/N: Yeah. We'd both liked each other for a long time and you were waiting for me to figure it out. Um.. Why do you bring this up?
Marina: Well... There's something else tonight that I just can't wait any longer for.
Y/N: What do you mean?
     She gets up and kneels down in front of you. Suddenly, you understand what's about to happen.
Y/N: No way... Marina...
     Marina pulls out a small box.
Marina: Y/N?
     She opens it, revealing a ring with a gorgeous seafoam green stone on it where a diamond would normally go.
Marina: Will you marry me?
     You're speechless. Your eyes tear up and you start to cry. All you can manage is a very enthusiastic nod. Marina gets up and wraps you in a tight hug, also crying herself.
     After a few moments of this, Marina let's you go and helps you put the ring on. It's a perfect fit.
Marina: Pearlie! They said yes!
     Pearl comes in from the hallway where her room is.
Pearl: Shell yeah!! Congrats, you two! Hey, Rina. I better be a bridesmaid, ok?
Marina: Don't worry. I was gonna ask you to be the maid of honor, actually.
Pearl: That's what I'm talking about!
     You can't stop smiling. You're now engaged to the most beautiful girl you've ever met. Nothing could take away this feeling right now. You're the happiest you've ever been in your whole life.
